I heavily sighed as I looked out the car window at what soon to be my new school. It looked new and clean with freshly cut green grass. Not what a public school would normally look like. Of coarse nothing about my life was normal. For some reason, I had a nagging feeling that there was something about this school that I wouldn't like. Maybe the cleanness made up for mean students. Or they spent so much money on keeping the school looking nice that the teachers they hired were strict and mean. My continence was leaning more towards the first option because I don't think there was a high school in America that didn't have it's typical mean girl.
"Skylar", my mom sighed impatiently "Staring at it isn't going to make it disappear." from her tone of voice I could tell she was getting impatient but was still trying to keep her cool.
"Fine mom I'll go, but only because I don't really have a choice", I hurryingly opened the car door and left, knowing that if I stayed any longer she would launch into a speech how the move was for the best. But as soon as I saw her dark blue Mercedes pulling out of the parking lot, I started wishing I would've stayed for a little while longer because that would mean I wouldn't have to face my new school so soon.
Sucking in a breath, I quickly walked to the double doors and as soon as I stepped in, I was met with a rush of cold air. But my smile added when I realized that this school was where all the rich kids in town probably went. leave it to my mom to give text best and only the best.
All of the kids were wearing what looked like "designer clothing and bags". But I didn't really stand out accept for the fact that I was new because I too was wearing expensive clothing that my mom insisted I wear on my first day.
Looking around, I found a door that probably led to the main office, I smiled, thinking of how lucky I am, and as I stepped in I was awed by how modern it looked. Everything was black and white with splashes of red and blue. Walking over to the administrator's desk and was met with a middle aged woman with shoulder length jet black hair and kind grey eyes.
"Hi, how may I help you" she told me with smile.
"I'm, new here and I need to uh, get my schedule."
"Name please" she smiled at me kindly and her eyes shone brilliently.
"Elizabeth, Elizabeth Madison" I replied copying her smile. but even I could tell mine want as beautiful.
She searched through a pile of papers and handed me a sheet of paper.
"Here you go sweetie, oh and if you need someone to show you to your room then" she looked around the room and then spotted a boy sitting on a Chair in the corner, probably texting on his phone.
"Jason", she called out to him and he looked our way.
"Yeah", he said then smiled my way. he had the same smile as what I assumed was his mom. they both has dark hair and brilliant grey eyes.
"Could you show Elizabeth here to here home room? You have Mrs. Evans right?
"Yeah, I do have her for homeroom"
"Than help get to Ms Williams classroom" the phone rang and she turned her attention away from us and I turned mine to Jason. He stood up from his chair, pocketed his phone then walked up to me in long quick strides.
"Hey I'm Jason", he said to me and held out his hand. Surprised by how nice he was being, i just stood there like idiot. Once he clear his throat I snapped back to reality. Cautiously, I held out my hand and gave him a suspicious look.
"I won't bite", he told me while laughing
Giving him an innocent smile, I replied"I wouldn't know that now would I.
"Come on her room is this way" I followed him down the hall up some stairs and after walking a while we ended up in front of a door that said 11th grade science.
"We're here" he said turning towards me with a smile
"You can just ditch me if you want", I told him shyly "Wouldn't want your reputation to be ruined because of the new girl"
"Who do you think I am Mr popular?"
"uh" I laughed nervously then asked "Your not?"
"I'm flattered that you think I'm hot and all but no. I'm not" he smirked at me as my cheeks and neck turned a bright crissum.
"What, I never said that" I exclaimed, wanting to jump off the nearest cliff.
"You didn't have to" he winked then said "And if you were curious, Mr popular around here would be Mathew Jones.
"I was about to reply when suddenly the bell rang and Jason went into the class room. With one final glance around the hallway, I follow him inside.
