There goes a story about a girl living in a small village.

She was pretty and had beautiful, purple eyes. Always sparkling with happiness. Her eyes held great power that everyone longs. And there was even a rumour going around in the village over her eyes...

One day, she was attacked on the market, by the boss of a gang who wanted to kidnap her. Afraid as she was, her body refused to move and she fell on the ground.

But fortunately, the hero Hirkum was passing by. He couldn't just stand around when a pretty woman was being attacked, and stepped between the girl and the boss. He slayed all the gang members and saved the girl. Hirkum turned around and gave her a charming smile, she shyly looked away as Hirkum reached his hand out. The girl took his hand and stood up. "Thank you", she said with an unintelligible voice.

After that, Hirkum kissed her hand and promised he would protect her until his death and even after that. Being melted by his charm and kindness, she nodded. Day by day passed, and every day, the girl and Hirkum got closer to each other, until the girl fell in love with him.

But... On the night she wanted to confess, she occured a suprise nobody could have ever predicted. She was out buying some food, while Hirkum was at home. She wanted to suprise him with a good, romantic dinner, but when she entered the house, he was nowhere to be found.

She looked everywhere, but she couldn't find him. Worried as she was, she stared out of the window, to her backyard. After looking a while, she noticed the figure of a man standing on the bridge of her backyard. She hurriedly went outside to the bridge.

There he was, the man she loved, the hero of her life. She got closer to him and opened her mouth to say something. No words came out, and her eyes were locked on the knife Hirkum was holding. What was he going to do with it? Before long, and she found out that he wanted to commit suicide. She screamed and grabbed his arm, trying to say that he couldn't do that.

Hirkum shaked her hands of off his arm and turned to her. She looked frightened and helpless. So innocent... He looked at her with a said face, and slowly raced his knife.

Apparently, whoever killed 'The Girl with the Magical Eyes', would receive eternal beauty and strength. The eyes that would make people go crazy.

The girl was so shocked, that she couldn't move an inch. Just like the last time she was attacked,  except, this time she was about to be killed by the person who saved her that time.

She was hurt so bad... Not for the fact that he wanted to kill her for such a stupid reason, but for the fact that he would even break his promise to receive what he wanted. Unconsiously, she started crying. Tears rolled down her cheeks. But not ordinary tears. Golden tears were rolling down her cheeks. The tears were reflecting in the light of the moon, making it look as if the tears were shining. She covered her eyes with her hands and more and more tears fell down. The tears that reached the ground made everything gold.

Hirkum's greed caused him some trouble. He quickly plucked a bunch flowers that all turned into gold, but... That made him slowly turn into gold too. It began with his feet and hands. and after that, his whole body turned into gold. He screamed, but it was hopeless.

The girl heared her hero scream, and looked up. She saw her love slowly turn into a shining golden statue. This isn't what she wanted..! She ran to him and shouted his name, even hugged him. She knew he wanted to kill her, for a stupid reason, too... But she couldn't help but love him. In the last heartbeats of his life, Hirkum smiled and whispered something to her... But his voice was too weak and low, so she couldn't hear what he said. Full of desparation, she screamed and shouted Hirkum's name, but she didn't get any response.

She gave up, but remained for a while in the same position of hugging Hirkum. When she tried to get up again, she noticed that she too, was turning into a golden statue. A mixed feeling of despair, fear and happiness grew in her. She struggled to not have the same fate as the one she was hugging. And yet she wasn't even trying so hard... It was hopeless anyway, the gold had already reached her neck. She closed her eyes as her mind and soul faded away...

So there you go... A short story about a girl with special eyes and tears xD

It just popped into my mind while drawing and manga eye and listening to this song >> Howard Shore - The Bridge of Khazad Dum

Well, if you don't like my way of writing short stories, sorry... But I just felt like writing a story without anyone saying something, without very much details and without giving the main character a name... If you find it annoying that I just use "She" and "The girl" to refer to the main character, feel free to give her a name while reading the story!

Anyway, I hope you liked it C:
