I tapped my finger nails rhythmically against the cold, shiny surface of guitar, humming softly to myself. My vision was blurry as I stared intensely ahead, every sound around me echoing through my ear drums, but none of it being acknowledged. Suddenly it went quiet, but I didn't think twice about it, not until I felt someone shake me out of my thoughts as I snapped my head in the direction of Xavier who stood beside me, his eyes squinted slightly as he frowned at me. "What's wrong with you? That's the third time you've missed your cue to start playing!"
I heard the groans of Taylor accompanying Xavier as he continued to rant at me. I shook my head, forcing a smile onto my face as I apologized once again. I tried to re-gain my focus I had previously had but it just seemed to keep drifting away, out of reach, leaving my chances of paying attention long behind them.
"Give it a rest dude, it's what, like 10pm and were exhausted. Jesus fucking christ, have some sympathy" Taylor burst, screaming into her microphone, resulting in all our eyes darting in her direction. She sighed deeply, rubbing her eyes with the balls of her fists. I felt Xavier's eyes lay themselves back onto me as I returned my distant, slowly fading attention back onto him. "One more chance Sophie, try and stay focused okay?"
"Okay, last try and then were head back. Go for it" Kyle signaled to us by raising a hand in the air and in a matter of seconds the music kicked in and we were off.

"So what was up with you earlier?" Kyle brushed his fingers through my hair as I leant back against his chest, dropping my head into his lap.
"Nothing, just tired and not really in the mood for practise" I shrugged it off, sucking harshly on the straw that was allowing me to devour my Pepsi. I licked my lips as I sat up, carefully placing my glass on the side before dropping back into my original position.
"Yeah, but since when are you in the mood for practise?" Kyle chuckled as I hummed, slowly closing my eyes as I snuggled my head into the warmth of his lap. His gentle, calming fingers dragged themselves softly through my tangled hair.
"Night Munchkins" I heard Taylor call from the other room as I giggled before pulling myself up onto my feet.
"Night my Oreo" I called back before grabbing Kyle's hand and to his complete disgust, dragging him out of his favourite chair. "It's bedtime" I whispered, as he moaned before ruffling my hair.
"You go, I need to talk to the driver quick, I'll see you in the morning" He pressed a kiss to my forehead as I smiled before turning to skip through into the bunk area.
"Goodnight"
"Wait" I called back to him, as I spun round on my heel as he frowned. "What is it?"
"Did Taylor tell you what happened today?" After a long, heart racing silence he finally shook his head, clearly declining my request to know. I nodded before turning back in the direction of the bunks. It was worth a try.

"Have you ever took a blade to your wrist? Or have you been skipping meals?" I sang, staring at the ceiling above me. I had gotten the top bunk. "We're gonna try something new today, how does that make you feel?" I drowned out the sounds around me with my headphones, trying to pause my sadness at least.
Insomnia was a problem for me, which while on tour, was a huge issue. If I didn't get enough sleep then my vocals wouldn't be at their best, I would be even more depressed and I would have no energy.
I sighed, climbing down from my bunk and walking into the front part of the bus where Kyle and Xavier were sat. Silent, I picked my TARDIS blue converse out from under the table, putting them on. "I'm going to the Of Mice and Men bus." I said quitely.
