POLOUGE: Past few weeks of me knowing him, I have learned one thing. That is I love him. And I can't let him die before my eyes. I must save him and if that means dieing instead of him, so be it....
My names, Anna Tiffin. I'm your average teenage girl who does well in school and is responsible. I'm biracial. My mom is white and my dad is black. I guess you can say I have the best of both worlds. I am the type of high school kid that doesn't go to parties and on dates. You can say that no one asks me out but that's ok with me, I sort of enjoy being alone. Don't get me wrong I have a lot of friends. I would just prefer to go to my favorite place, the ocean, so I can think and not have to worry about anything. Nothing wild in my life has ever happened. I have never fallen in love, and thank god for that. I have seen the way girls are heart broken over a guy and it's ridiculous. I mean come on, you have your whole life ahead of you and you think that one guy can be the only. Well I am a junior in high school and thank god summer is coming in a few weeks. I can enjoy the beach a whole lot more and just relax and sleep. But to be able to do that I have to get up and go to school just like I have to today.
Pulling up to school in my black two door jeep wrangler having a nervous feeling like I do now, is not a good thing. My friends are in the same spot as always waiting for me and they look anxious. My friends Emily, Amanda and Molly won't even look me in the eye for some reason, and that lets me know that they have something that they are hiding. I walked up to them knowing that I will get information out of them no matter what it has to take.
"If ya'll want to make today a good day at school, you all better tell me what is making ya'll paranoid." I said. Amanda being the one to open her mouth first tells the truth like always. I think that's why she's one of my closes friends out of all of them.
"Ok! We set you up on a date with Tom. Please don't be mad. You need a boyfriend. You just seem so lonely, always at the beach alone and never going to parties!" Amanda squealed.
"So? I enjoy being alone and I thought you all understood that? Also Tom is such a pervert. He's always trying to get girls in bed."
"Think of it this way Anna, he's hot! Messy blonde hair that looks perfect, green eyes to die for and smokin tan body! Come on! His even the quarterback for our high school and you're a smokin girl yourself. You have pretty brown eyes the perfect skin tone cause of you being mix, a body that boys like. That's not it, you even have the prettiest hair we have ever seen. It's a dark brown that is thick and I have never seen any girl with hair as thick as yours. Admit it. You're perfect." Amanda said trying to make me fall for her trick.
I know that I'm pretty but not perfect. Yes unlike most mix kids I got lucky and got my moms hair, but Tom doesn't want me cause how nice my hair looks the only thing that's on his mind is getting me in bed with him and that is not going to happen, not now, not later, not ever.
I went through the whole day trying to avoid seeing Tom. And luckily I did. If I keep it up he might forget. But as for now school was over today and I was ready to get home and sleep in this weekend. You never know things can happen this weekend I just have to keep my mind wide open to all the possibilities, just in case I am set up again.
Lucas's P.O.V
I sit here in my paradise, heaven and look down on the mortals below me. Yes as you may have thought I am an angel. Not just an angel but a dark angel. My name's Lucas and my job is to go down the list on who's time is it to die, who is dieing and who is dieing but isn't suppose to. We watch over all of the mortals and keep track of them, but I am sort of behind on my job because of a certain mortal that has caught my eye. She interest's me. Different from most mortals she likes to be alone. She is quit interesting to watch. To bad I don't get to meet her until she dies and gets to come up here in heaven, even then I still don't get to meet her cause I am just to busy up here. I have a work partner named Damen. He's what you call thick headed. Always thinking about him self and giving every one an attitude. Right now he is yelling about why he hates it here and I just get tired of it.
"Why don't you just shut up?! You're not going anywhere. You will always be up here so shut up and sit down." I yelled
"I am not going to shut up and be talked down. Especially by someone like you who looks down on a mortal all lovey dovy. If I was down on earth all I would have to do is sacrifice someone and I could stay down there for ever that would be paradise to me. But no one listens to me." Damen yelled.
"Yes no one listens to you because you are acting like an idiot!"
"Well lets see how much of an idiot when I fall out of heaven and go down there myself. I think I already know who I am going to sacrifice first, and that going to be your little mortal girl. I have been watching her also and she is perfect to sacrifice. She's so pure and innocent that it will be so easy to end her life."
"If you touch her you will have me to deal with!"
"I would enjoy that a lot. Well wish... What's her name again? Oh, wish your sweet Anna luck. She's going to have a sweet surprise when I get a hold of her." and with that he spread out his wings and fell from our home in heaven. I then knew that I must save Anna before Damen can get a hold of her.
