SISTER // [[ON HOLD]]

*PROLOGUE*

'It's a girl,' shouted the nurse in excitement. Tears roll down Jared's face as he looks at Sophia with so much affection. There was a great level of joy among the other members, after all, the young couple had their first child.

   Jared runs up to the nurse and holds his little daughter for the first time. His eyes sparkle with little droplets and a sweet smile curves up his lips as he sees the baby trying to stretch. He takes her to Sophia who looks so eager to have the first glance of her child.

   She looks pretty, with cheeks all red and a bit puffed up because of pregnancy. Jared hands her the child and places his arm around her shoulder. They share a quick kiss and stare back at the baby. She is so soft and pink in colour, the eyes are shut but it seems as if they can see what is around her. Eyelashes are so enormous already and her smile so innocent.

    Jared was sure they would have a girl and had decided the name months back. He smiles as the name came up to his mind.
   
"What would you like to name her?" The nurse with a different voice says. Jared blinks for a couple of seconds, coming back to present. He still has the baby in his arms. Same face, same lashes, same redness of the skin and the scent of her is pleasant as it was before. He looks around, the hospital is same, the nurse is different. The room is less crowded this time. His gaze met Sophia's. She looks pretty like she did then, just a little week and old. The situation is similar, when they look at their baby, they cry again but this time they were sad.

"What would you like to name her?" The nurse asks again, holding the reports.

"Scarlet."
