Mike’s POV

I can’t believe I just saw Dani, she looks so beautiful, and her daughter looks so much like her. She only looked at me when her daughter asked who we were. That hurt. Vic asked if we could talk and I knew what this was about so I just nodded and followed him outside.

“You still love her, don’t you?” Vic asked. I nodded. He sighed. “Mike this isn’t high school anymore. She has a daughter. You can’t turn her back into the person she was. She grew up, and you can tell just by looking at her. She won’t play your childish games anymore.” “I know this Vic! I just want MY Dani back. With ME. I’m glad she grew up. I just miss her so much. I miss calling her mine.” I said.

Danielle’s POV

Vic asked if he could talk to Mike outside… God, Mike… He still looks so hot… I looked over at Tony, he was looking at me shocked, but he was also holding Cammy. Jaime was the first to speak, “So… Dani how’re you?” “I’m good Jaime. How about you?” “I’m doing great! Do you listen to our music?” He asked. “Of course! You guys are so talented! I love listening to your music, and Cammy loves it as well.” I said. “That’s good,” Jaime replied. Tony still hasn’t said anything. I looked over at him, “Tony?” I asked.

He looked at me his expression was unreadable. “Yeah?” He asked. “Can we talk?” I ask. He nodded and put Cammy down and we walked into the kitchen. “Tony, I know you’re most likely mad at me for disappearing for 9 years, but I’m sorry. I had to leave, I needed to find--” “Dani you don’t need to explain yourself to me. At first I was mad, but then I realized that you needed to find out who you were and not who everyone was telling you to be. I’m just glad you’re back, I‘ve missed you so much. And about being mad? I think the only one who was mad for the longest was Mike. I’m not going to tell you to explain yourself to him, because it’s your life, but you should talk to him. He used to cry himself to sleep every night for about 6 months after you left and then he just got pissed. Because you left.”

“Now I feel horrible Tony, thanks for that.” I said. “Sorry,” He said. “Hey would you ever consider going out with him again?” I shook my head, “No I don’t think so. But well people do change their minds a lot. So I guess, but I have Cammy to worry about, and my job, and plus I live in New York and I don’t plan on moving back…” “Where do you work?” Vic asked. I turned around and saw Vic and Mike, Mike’s face was emotionless. I just looked at him for a minute then I looked back at Vic, “I work at Hot Topic.” I said.

“That explains the tattoos, which I love by the way.” I gave him a small smile, “Thanks.” I said quietly. He smile and nodded. “So you live in New York huh? Do you like it there? Is it better than here? Do you know any cute girls that would be interested in this,” Vic said gesturing to himself, I just laughed. “Who’s Cammy’s dad and where is he?” He continued asking. “Oh my god.” I said. “Vic do you ever shut up?” I asked cutting him off. “Nope!” He smiled proudly, “Now answer the questions!” I just laughed while he looked like an eager puppy, by then Jaime had walked into the kitchen and heard all of Vic’s questions.

“Okay,” I started off, “Yes I live in New York, I love it there, no it’s not really better there because I don’t have any family there and sometimes I get lonely. Vic find your own girls and stop asking me if I can hook you up with one of my friends. Uh... Cammy’s dad… Wow that’s a subject I wish you never brought up. He’s not really important, he walked out when I told him I was pregnant.” I said answering all of Vic’s questions.

“What?!” Tony said looking like killing someone. “He left you after you told him you were having his child?!” Jaime yelled. “What’s his name?!” Vic asked. The only one who didn’t say anything was Mike. They all looked at him, “Dude, why aren’t you saying anything?” Jaime asked. “Why do you care? She obviously doesn’t care that he left. She’s taken good care of Cammy, yes I’m pissed but still it’s not my place to get involved, the only ones who should be involved in this is Dani, Tony, and their mom, well not even them, only Dani. But I can see why Tony’s pissed. It’s his baby sister! But she’s not your sister Vic and she isn’t your sister Jaime. And she sure as hell isn’t my sister.” Mike said.

Okay the last part hurt. “She may not be related to us Mike, but we’ve known her since she was a baby. And I’m glad you don’t think of her as a little sister, because you know, you fucked her and she’s your ex, that would be gross if you thought of her as a sister.” Jaime said. We all just looked at him. “Just shut up Jaime.” I said. “What? The little drama queen doesn’t want to remember the past? Well remember it honey because it happened.” Mike said.

“Mike!” Vic shouted. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Tony asked. “What’s wrong with me? Nothing. What’s wrong with you guys? She LEFT us, and then she comes back and you all act like nothing’s happened. Like she’s been here all along.” Mike said. “No Mike,” I said shaking my head, “I left you.” I felt the tears I was fighting run down my face. “Aww guys look now the bitch is crying. Dani get over yourself. You left, even if they say it’s okay that you left and came back 9 years later then their lying. Believe me; they want to scream at you. I’m the reality. They’re the fairytales that you wish would come true.” Mike said, “MIKE!! THAT IS ENOUGH!” Tony yelled at him.

Mike shook his head, “Dani asked me to always tell her the truth not matter how much it hurt. I promised I would. And this is me keeping my promise. Unlike the promise she never kept.” He said whispering the last part with a hurt expression. “I was 16.” I whispered. “That’s no excuse.” He whispered back still looking hurt. The others looked at us confused. “What the hell are you talking about?” Vic asked. “Do you want to tell them Dani, or should I?” Mike asked me. I just shook my head. “It was a mistake to come back. Mike maybe you should realize I left because of you.” His expression was priceless. “I’m sorry guys, I’m going home.”
