Chapter Fine: Maddox?

Bexley's POV:

My eyes slowly open to silver bars. 'Why the fuck am I in a cage?' I think to myself. Sitting up, I notice chains on my left ankle. Looking around, I realize that it isn't a cage at all. It's a prison cell. I shakily get up to my feet and stumble to the bars. As soon as I touched them, I scream out in pain.

I guess me yelling brought attention to myself, as I now hear two maybe three pairs of footsteps. As they draw near, I stumble into a corner. I watch them as they stand side by side. Ivan? Why is he here?

"Alert the Alpha that the she-wolf is awake." Ivan says to another guy. I think his name was Kyle? Why does he look so much like Dad? Wait, what? She-wolf? What the fuck are they on? I hear Kyle growl and shrink away from them.

"Remember your place Ivan." Kyle growls out before walking away.

"Ivan? Why am I here? Why did you call me a she-wolf? Why is the last thing I remember being a wolf?" I ask scared.

"All will be told when the Alpha gets here." He says before I hear a loud bang. "Ah, here he is now." I sink to the floor, hiding my face.

I listen to the footsteps until they come right in front of the cell. Growls can be heard before a loud roar of rage. I look up and see Maddox?

"Maddox?" I ask in a small voice. He instantly looks right at me. He rips the keys out of Ivan's hand and opens the cell. Walking towards me, he looks down at my ankle.

"Why the fuck is she chained?!" He roars. Dropping on his knees, he unlocks the lock on the chain and picks me up.

"Alpha, we do this to any other wolf that comes onto your land," Ivan goes to say but is interrupted by Kyle.

"Not when the she-wolf is your Luna." He tells Ivan. Almost instantly, Ivan drops to his knees.

"Please forgive me Alpha and Luna. I am terribly sorry. I did not know she is your mate." Maddox growls at him, but I silence him by putting my hand on his chest.

"I may not understand what is going on right now, but Ivan get up. Stop apologizing." I say with what felt like tremendous power. He instantly gets up. "I need an explanation about why I was a wolf and why I am here." I say looking up at Maddox.

"Okay. Well we will be headed to my cabin. Kyle, you need to be there." Maddox says and then walks out. As we walk out, I notice more cells with people in them. Mostly guys. Looking away, I cuddle into Maddox's chest, now noticing the tiny tingles that feel like fire on my shin. Well... Whatever the fuck is going on Maddox better explain it.
