I heard my alarm go off at 6:30am and I layed there remembering it was Friday. I went to my closet and pulled my Motionless In White shirt off its hanger. I didn't want to go to school since it was Friday and I stood up last night writing my non-fictional story about myself. I decided to tell my mom I didn't feel good. I walked to her room and did I fake little cough.
"Mom I don't feel so good. Do I have to go to school?"
"Awh. You can stay home today Quinn. Go lay down and get some more rest okay? I'll see you later around 7:30pm when I get home from work."
"Thanks mom" I said lazily smiling and then walking back to my room.
I pounced on my bed and grabbed my phone. I told Joshly that I wasn't coming to school but to tell Collin I said Hey. She texted me back saying she'd miss me. I went back to sleep for about an hour. When I woke up I walked around the house to make sure my older sister, dad, and older brother weren't here. Nobody was home which meant I had the house to myself.
I walked back into my room and put on some music. I chose to put some Asking Alexandria on. "Not The American Average" blasted through my speakers. I sang along while laying on my back on my bed. My stomach growled and I lowered the music.
I went to the kitchen and looked through the cupboards. Nothing. Mom obviously forgot to go shopping. I walked to my room and put my black skinnys on,black boots, and Suicide Silence hoodie. I looked through my jewelry box for my money. I found a $20 bill in the under the picture of me and Joshly.
I walked out of the house and went to 7 Eleven down the street. I walked inside the store and looked around for something to eat. I found some donuts and took them to the cashier. I handed her the money and she looked me from head to toe.
"Are you some kind of emo person?" She asked with a weird look on her face.
"Excuse me? What makes you say that miss?" I told her with an eye brow raised and a bit of attitude in my voice.
"You look like you just crawled from the depths of hell. God be with you girl."
"Who says that?! I came her for food not some stupid comment! What a hypocrite. I'm out of here! Fuck those donuts I can go somewhere else."
I grabbed my money away from her hands walked out of the store with a fast pase and a pissed off look on my face. Nobody has ever said anything like that to me! Who does that?! I cannot believe someone would even dare treat someone like that.
I walked back home with a starving stomach. On my way back home I found a small black kitten with bright green eyes. It's leg was stuck in a small rope tied to a light pole. I tried to untie the knot of the rope but it wouldn't budge.
I managed to get the knot undone. The kitten just sat there licking my hand. Its mother must have abandoned him...Awh...I better take him home. I picked the kitten up and started walking down the sidewalk to my house.
When I got inside I put the kitten on the floor on my living room to see what it'd do. All it did was claw at the carpet, but it was still pretty cute. I got it some water and put it into a little bowl. It kind of pushed it away with its paws so I figured maybe it wanted milk?
I threw out the water and put some milk in it. I warmed it in the microwave for about 30 sec and put my pinkie in it to serve if it was too hot or still too cold. Luckily the temperature FELT just right, according to my pinkie
I walked back to the living room but the kitten wasn't there...Where could he have gone? I heard a small meow from under my couch and found the kitten clawing at a sock. I reached out for the kitten but my arm couldn't reach it.
"Come here you!" I said.
He just looked at me with no emotion on its face. But it came back from under the couch and sat in front of me.
"You're pretty weird...What am I gonna name you kitty?" I said as I got on my stomach and put my face up to its eye level.
The kitten put one paw on my nose and I leaned back. It's green eyes were...mesmerizing. It was almost like looking into a world I've never seen before. Or just staring into the depths of the galaxy. Maybe even a magical world of a distorted world?
"Let's just call you Magic.. But why don't we spell it 'M-a-g-i k'? I think yes"
It was almost 3:00pm so I decided to call Joshly. She picked up the phone and asked me why I wasn't at school today.
"I wasn't feeling good. Sorry"
"Its fine. So I talked to Collin again today"
"What'd you guys talk about?!"
"He just kinda told me when you came back to school if you wanted to hang out all day and get to know each other"
"YES! I DO."
"Okay. Well tell him that tomorrow and you guys can hang. Do you want me there or no? Because I won't be there or bug you If you don't want me to"
"Uhhmm....I don't know. I'll tell you tomorrow. I have to go. I've got a kitten at my house and I can't seem to find it...again.."
"OOO!! YOU HAVE A KITTEN?! I WANNA SEE!! YOU KNOW I LOVE CATS QUINN!"
"Haha. Come over tomorrow after school and we can play around with him. Or her..I don't know what it is."
