There Is No Escape

Introduction

  The sound of chains was audible through the air as Scarlett, notorious leader of Team Awesome, looked up to see her team in shackles and heading to an illuminated room. She looked around, seeing her friends behind and in front of her, sulking and keeping their heads down. She sighed, feeling the guards' eyes burn through her skin, and she put her head back down.
  "Keep moving," a guard said, pushing the people forward as the room came to a better view.
  She could see Matthew in the room, holding his sword and examining the person in front of him. She growled and frowned infuriatingly, wanting to free her comrades of this torture. Then, suddenly, a shriek was heard through the air, and she could see Matthew stabbing one of the members with his sword.
  "Next," he sternly said as the next person was brought into the room.
  She sighed, knowing she couldn't do anything yet, and she was the next one to go in. She was brought into the room, the guards holding onto her tightly.
  "Why are you doing this?" Her voice was hoarse, and he looked at her. "Why kill these innocent people?! They did nothing!"
  He laughed quietly, and she growled. She stood up and got face-to-face, and the guards tried to hold her back.
  "No matter what you do, I will not give up," she said to him angrily. "You will not win. You will never win!"
  The guards pulled her back and had her on her knees, holding their guns at her head. Matthew bent down and held her face to look at him, and he smirked quietly.
  "You really think you can scare me?" He let go of her face and stood up, and he held his sword out to her throat. "I am not scared of your petty talk of heroism."
  She looked at him and gritted her teeth, and she stayed quiet and snarled. He began to attack her, and she dodges the attack. He frowned as she broke the chains on her wrist with the sword and knocked the guards behind her to the ground. She stood up and held her wrists, and Matthew growled and attacked her. She dodged the attack and grabbed the sword, and she broke the sword.
  "You are such a nuisance!" He yelled, and he clenched his fists.
  She stood ready to fight, but one of the guards grabbed her, holding her tight. Matthew wiped his brow and sighed, and Scarlett struggled to get free, fighting with all her will. Then suddenly, she stopped, and Matthew looked at her as she struggled for breath.
  "Take her to our biggest solitary confinement." He said sternly, and the guard cuffed her again and knocked her out. "We'll see how long she survives there."
