I was doing the dishes, scrubbing the stains off of the black plate with a sponge, when a slow song played. The playlist that was playing wasn't mine, but Hoseok's, and he wasn't in right now. He was out working, dancing his butt off and making his dreams come true.
I was getting relaxed by the song, it's calm sound waves making a serene environment. Out of nowhere, the door bursts open and in walks Hoseok, dancing slowly through the kitchen and swooping by me, proceeding to grab both of my hands from the dirty water.
"Ew! Dirty water in my faceu!" He exclaimed once he realized what he did. I giggled lightly, covering my smile a habit I picked up a while ago. Hoseok hates when I do that, ("Your smile is beautiful, Jagi. Don't cover it.") but I do it anyway.
I curled our fingers together after we dried them off and he whisked me away again into the living room. Hoseok started dancing a traditional slow dance, but since I couldn't dance, when he lead, it felt like he was pulling me.
"Hoseok!" I squealed.
"Yes, Jagi?" He asked in a fake posh voice.
"You know I can't dance!"
Hoseok walked over to his phone and turned down the music a little so I can follow his instructions. He offered me his left hand and I gave him my right. Hoseok pushed his chest out so he was standing straight and then he rested his right hand on my left hip. Hoseok then pushed us closer together and I blushed at the contact. We were so close you could put a piece of paper between us and it'd crinkle. He looked down at me and smiled as I looked up at him and smiled.
"I'm nervous," I giggled.
"Don't be. Follow me." He ordered.
When Hoseok took a step back with his left foot, I took a step forward with my right. We started twirling and spinning in a circle. Once we were back to where we started in the living room, he
"Wait here!" He said excited. I just nodded his head while he quickly thumbed through his phone. He played a song as he walked towards me. The biggest smile broke out on my face. I doubt he knew the words, but he knew I knew them.Take my hand
As if following the song's instructions, I took Hoseok's hand in mine and we just stood there, me with a stupid smile on my face and Hoseok just watching me.
Pull me close
Hoseok again, pulled me closer to him. For some reason, my cheeks kept flushing and my eyes drifted to the floor.
And take one step
Again, when he took one step backward with his left foot, I took one forward with my right foot. I glanced down to make sure I didn't step on his toes because it's rude and he took one hand off my left hip to tilt my chin up. Now we were making eye contact which set my entire entity on fire.
"Now won't you promise me that you'll never forget. We'll keep dancing wherever we go next," Hoseok sang.
I was shocked at how well his English sounded, and then it hit me that's why he'd been spending a lot of time with Namjoon lately.
"It's like catching lightning, the chances of finding someone like you. It's one a million the chances of feeling the way we do." I sang next.
"And with every step together, we just keep on getting better," we sang together.
"So can I have this dance?" He asked me.
I nodded my head yes and then smiled, which then caused him to smile. When the next chorus hit, Hoseok spun me, causing me to squeal in shock and twirl, and then I landed back in his arms, giggling and red faced. The end of the song neared and Hoseok pulled me insanely close to him. I was so close I could see how his eyelashes brushed his cheeks, what shade of brown his eyes were, and I could taste the mint of his breath.
In an instant, he kissed me sweetly and slowly, putting both hands on my waist, making me blush again.
