Wrath

I'm tempted to slam his head into the ground until it's nothing but red clumps. He lies there, letting the question hang in the silence. I run my hand through my hair and slowly inhale. Such a rustic question, I ask myself everyday.
And yet I have no response, it doesn't matter to me in anyway if that's what he means.

"Not really." I exhale. My voice is deeper than I thought. It actually gave me a slight scare.         "By saying that are you willing to accept what you have done?" He asks with a tilt of his head. I don't answer. I just look away and listen to his growing amount of laughter.
"See? You're not the big bad wolf." He struggles to stand and limps out of the room. The door is left ajar. I run to the door and open it all the way. The smell of saline and sanitizer overwhelms me. I take a step back and rub my face. One of the nurses pass by, my muscles clench and I can feel myself shift. She looks at me and smiles.     "Oh dear, you're supposed to be in the social room aren't you? Come with me." She grabs my hand and pulls me. My hand shakes as she holds it. It'll be fine. I'm fine. We walk through the seemingly endless halls for a while until the sound of moaning and shrieking begins. She turns and talks to me, but I can't hear her. Everything is muted besides the moaning. A wave of vertigo hits and I stumble back. She groans but turns to me with a smile on her face.         "We will be there soon hon." She continues to pull me forward.  We reach a large metal door and she looks back to me and nods. She quickly opens the door and shoves me in. I turn and try to hit her but end up cracking the glass. I hear the creaking of chairs and glance over my shoulder. I see about twelve people sitting in a circle of chairs. They're staring at me. I notice one of them smiling at me. I buck at him and he smiles more. His smile is radiant, it reminds me of her. I sit next to him and set my head on his shoulder. He's shivering. I look up at him and see he is biting his lip.          "Isn't today a gift?" He chuckles. He looks to me, his emerald eyes suddenly glimmering as if the stars hid in them. Such an innocent smile too, I wonder why he is in here. Maybe he is just here to cater to people like me.     "I am Tap." He giggles and rubs his hand on my cheek. I glance at his body and notice he is missing an arm and a leg. He notices my attention isn't to him but to his stubs, soon bursting into tears. That's why he's here, they didn't want someone who is broken. I can't help but smile. He will be someone fun to play with.
He's screaming and yelling on the floor. How cute. We should put him out of his misery. No, he's like us.       "I am Edgar." I whisper. He stops his tantrum and glares at me. He smiles and kisses my cheek.     "I already told you my name, I think." He struggles to get up and grabs my shoulder for support. I pick him up and set him on my back. He is warm, it feels like it's been so long since I've felt warmth from another. It's, dare I say, nice. The door to the room slams and a herd of nurses grab my shoulders. Tap screams and grips onto me.   "What is a class five patient doing in here?" The doctor yells at the nurses. I feel them trying to get Tap off of me, but he has one hell of a grip. I think his nails are digging into my skin. Too much adrenaline, I can't even feel my legs. There it is, one of them whispered. I hear a small gasp from Tap and he falls off of my back. They drag him out and I run after them. The nurses slam me on the ground, my body stiffens as all the wind is knocked out of me.
