The hot heat radiating from the sun's rays burn through my thin eyelids. I lay soundlessly on the plush green grass as I make silent wishes.
It's strange. That I wish upon the bright sun rather than a night star.
My spirit feels lighter out in the day. In the night fall, I'm faced with my own personal terrors.
I hear the distant plucking of guitar chords and I allow the noise to engulf me and send into a peaceful state.
My eyes shut tightly as I've come to the conclusion of my one wish today:
Take it away, please.
I beg mentally instead of wishing. I've been wishing on the same dream each day. To just take it away. I don't want it. I've never had.
My eyes relax, but remain closed. The guitar strings are still waving through the wind to reach my listening ears.
Chills travel down my back to the end of my now tingling toes. Heat seeps through my skin and I feel a longing-no-I feel the need, the crave.
Without opening my eyes, I know the guitar player is a male. I also know that due to my reaction that my wish has failed to full fill. Lastly, I know my very presence puts him in danger.
Maybe, I can just take a little.
No! What's wrong with you? You're a monster...
Be rational. You can't go too long without...
Shut up! I can't give in.
You'll die you don't.
I'll die if I do.
I argue internally with myself. Outweighing the two different outcomes. Putting each into consideration.
Both are right and have valid points.
In a selfish way, I want to continue to leave. But I feel the right thing to do is to deprive myself of it and slowly die into nothingness. It'll be best for the world.
One less danger to worry about.
The sun's rays don't affect me as I open my eyes quickly. I don't experience light sensitivity or any kind for that matter. I soak up and bathe in the sun, inhaling a deep breath before standing. My soft, but never gentle hands brush off grass shred that cling to my flowing blue sun dress. I reach down and confiscate a small, rough rock and twirl it repeatedly between my fingers. I slip on my simple, black sandals and walk in the direction of the sweet guitar strumming.
I hadn't realized where I was going until it was too late.
I stand in front of a young boy, he looks to be around the age of sixteen. He has curly, dirty blonde hair and wide dark brown eyes. His body is lean and he wears a checkered, button-up shirt, dark jean shorts, and tennis shoes . He looks...neat. He has a boyish...no, he has an innocent look about it. No doubt that he's cute.
"Hello." I try to refrain myself and turn away running, never looking back, but I can't.
He continues to struck at his guitar strings. I assume he's ignoring me, so I make sure that he'll notice me.
I rest on my knees in front of him and place one hand on his guitar. He stops playing instantly and looks startled.
"Ignoring me?" I say while slightly licking my soft, plump lips.
The boy looks confused, so I explain. "I said 'hello' and I assume you ignored me." He looks lost of words. "I understand. If I was as hot as you, I would make the girls work for it as well." I say flirtatiously.
