Chapter 7: The Beginning To Bringing Ryu Home

Ibis's POV: In the middle of the cave stood a ten fee tall old gray dragon with green feathers on his back and wings.
"Ryu is looking for his home, The Lost Islands. The island sank over thousands of years ago. Ryu says it will resurface soon but doesn't remember where it will resurface. We haven't found any clues on where it might resurface. Ryu was separated from his nakama because he lost all of his strength." Apis says a little teary in her eyes.
"I want to return him back to his home no matter what." She says throwing a rock out of the cave.
"Ryu always says, if he returns to the Dragon Nest, he will better." Apis says. After hearing this I couldn't keep my composure and started tearing up. I know she is determined, I kinda see me in her eyes.
"I will help you." I say without realizing as I was still crying.
"Huh?"
"I will help you find Ryu home."
"Really..."
"Yes"
We just have to see if the others will help, ok Apis." I say with kindness.
"Yea let's go ask the others."
Time Skip
We get there to see everyone asleep and I actually had a hunch this would happen. Before I left the old guy was making a speech and my guess the speech never ended that made the others fall asleep. I look around to find out that even the old guy put himself to sleep.
"This is too priceless how did this happen it's hilarious." I was laughing nonstop that it actually woke everyone else up except the old man.
"I'm up." Usopp says still tired.
"What morning already." Zoro says pissed that someone woke him up and was ready to kill whoever woke him up.
"That geezers story was so long, that we just fell asleep here." Sanji says to me realizing I woke him up.
"Figures."
A moment of silence began to fill the room as footsteps are coming towards the door of Apis's home. A villager enters the room out of breathe and scared as hell.
"Where's Apis." The villager asks and I knew right then that the Marine were here for Apis. I slam my foot down to get the others attention.
"Hey everyone come with me." I say as like an order though I'm not the captain of the crew.
"Why." Luffy says confused as hell. Everyone looked at me like I'm not the boss of them.
"Just come on, if you won't listen to me then I will do it myself." I say kinda crying cause it feels like they still don't trust me and I know in my soul if they find out who I really am they will never trust me. I say one final thing.
"If gramps wakes up tell him I'm gonna protect Apis."
"Got it." 
I run straight out of the house not waiting for the others replies.
Zoro's POV: Ibis ran out of the house without any of our replies as me and the others just stood their surprised. Ibis was crying, maybe she thinks we don't trust her but that's not true she saved Luffy from execution at Loguetown. I know I can trust I don't know why I just know I can. I ran after her as footsteps were running to me with of course is the others. They are worried as much as I am.
Time Skip
After ten minutes we found her In a cave alone or so we think.
"Hey everyone." Apis says pointing to us for my guess Ibis didn't think we would follow her and help her. She kinda was tearing up but instantly got back to her normal stuff. Even though I haven't known her for a while I feel like I do know her but can't remember. I was brought back to reality by everyone shocked expression as a dragon was behind Apis.
"So when you get closer to the Grand Line, you see things like this." I say suprised like everyone else except Ibis and Apis.
"Well we saw those Sea Kings before, but this isn't one of those..." Sanji says
"Are you sure it's tamed?"Usopp scared for his life. I could hear quiet laughter from one of us. A few seconds later later Ryu licks Usopp face.
"Oh! Sometimes he gets a bit senile! If he thinks your you're food he'll try to eat you." Apis says like it's not a problem but...
"Too late...!" Usopp says as Ryu is chomping down on his head like food.
"It doesn't hurt at all, right?" Luffy says this which makes the quiet laughter I heard before louder as I realize that it was Ibis laughing.
"You look like a trout." Luffy says to Usopp.
"Are you just gonna stand their? Get me out!" Usopp says.
"Let's just let him eat him." I say with a smirk on my face and making a certain someone smile again.
"Zoroooo..." Usopp says pissed at me but I didn't really care if he was mad at me I just wanted to make her smile. I don't know why I just do.
"You better not, he'll give you food poisoning." Sanji says.
"Shut up love cook." Usopp says. As he says that a loud bang can be heard inside the cave. We turn to where the sound was coming from and see that it was Ibis, she banged her sword on the wall of the cave loud enough for us to hear but not loud enough that it would make the cave collapse on us.
"Ok enough is enough everyone, here I'll help you." Ibis says as she goes closer to the dragon and give him a look that makes him let Usopp go, we don't know what that was about but it got the dragon to let go of Usopp. As he is set free he runs behind a rock and hides.
"What do the Marines want with Ryu?" Nami asks.
"Eternal youth my guess, I red when I was little about a book on dragons. It told all about different kind of dragons including Ryu. For Ryu it says that they possess eternal youth. " Ibis says.
"Either way you can't be serious! The Marines are closing in." Usopp says.
"But Ryu really wants to go home." Apis says.
"I bet Luffy said "sure I'll take you back home! or made some other stupid promises." Usopp said.
"Actually I said we would. " I say pissed at Usopp for what he just said.
"You, we don't even know you at all you could be a spy you were just a stowaway on our ship I don't trust you."
"You know what I will do it myself." I say yelling at them, I knew at least one of them won't trust me.
I run away crying again.
Nami's POV: Ibis ran out crying it almost felt like she knew this was gonna happen.
"Usopp you idiot she is on our side I mean she was the one who saved Luffy from being executed by Buggy." I say pissed.
"She is one of us, we may not know much about her but she still saved our captains life."
Remember that, I'm going to go look for her." I run out of the cave and begin to look for Ibis.
Time Skip
An hour passes and I find her in the middle of the forest sitting on the ground looking at her sword crying.
"Hey Ibis are you ok."
"I'm fine, what do you want."
"I will help you and I have an idea of what to do. We just need a cart big enough for Ryu to ride on."
"Sounds like a plan." Luffy says while the others are right behind him.
Ibis's POV:
"Thanks." I say with a small smile.
"I might go take a walk, you guys can start without me."
I run further into the woods as my depression was about to sky rocket and let's just say that wouldn't be a good thing. Why am I so depressed, I can't be depressed what if the curse effects.
Zoro's POV:
"Lets do it." Apis says overjoyed.
What was that about I swear I saw a little fear of her own sadness like its a bad thing but maybe I'm over thinking it. Why am I worried about her so much. I go back to reality and help Sanji and Luffy get the materials.
Time Skip
We finish grabbing the materials, in the end we ended up with 32 giant trees down for the base and we had other materials. We began to build the cart.
It took about an hour to finish it as we add the wheels to each side of the cart so it can roll down the hill. After this we begin to think of what to do next.
"I will grab the ship however Zoro has to come." Usopp says.
"Why me." I say pissed. He is the last person I want to work with right now after how he made Ibis cry.
"Then that's settled." Nami says proud that everything was going good so far.
"Can we wait till nightfall?"
Idiot no that's a stupid question to ask.
"No." Nami says to Usopp.
"Anyway once you get the ship bring it around to that cape that looks like Ussop's nose." Nami says like a direct order.
"Hey your right it's Usopp's nose." Luffy says laughing at the resemblance. It actually really does look like the jerks nose.
"But what will you once we bring the ship over here." Usopp says.
"Find out for yourself when the plan is in action, also hurry with the ship."
Time Skip
The last person really is him I want to work with now maybe I can find out why he is so rude to Ibis, I will ask later. We arrive at the docks to find the Going Merry is surrounded by by Marines.
"I knew we should have come at nightfall." Ussop's says scared like a little baby. I ignore his complaining and see a way to get to the Going Merry without being seen. Their is a bamboo pipe behind one of the houses. If I cut it in 3 we can use them as snorkels. I cut the bamboo pipe into three pieces and gave one to Usopp and kept one for myself as we use these to breathe under water without the Marines noticing us.
"I'm going up." As I say that Usopp climbs up after me and gets spotted by the Marines. I knew he would cause trouble I should have let the dragon eat him. They begin to shoot at Usopp with bullets but somehow he was able to not get hit. I cut the rope to open the sails of the ship as we begin to head to the meeting spot, but a small problem in front of us. We are about to hit one of the Marine ships but luckily somehow we only scratch the ship like someone was controlling the movement of the water.
Nami's POV: Ibis hasn't come back yet I wonder where she is. I kept worrying of where she is when Apis brought me back to reality.
"Oh no! The Marines are coming up the mountain."
"There earlier than I expected." I say surprised they were already here.
"What are we gonna do now."
Ibis's POV:
"Don't worry Apis me and the others will deal with the Marines you guys tell us when we're ready to go, got it." I say as an order . I knew what the plan is I always had a hunch to what the plan is.
"Got it Ibis, wait where did you come from Ibis." Nami says shocked that I was right in front of them.
"It's a secret, never mind that tell us when the plan is ready to go."
"Ok." Nami says nodding her head.
The Marines start to shoot Ryu but Luffy jumps in front of them as the bullets begin to go straight for him.
"No good." Luffy says as the bullets bounce of his body due to him being made of "rubber" well not literally. The bullets bounce off and go into opposite directions.
"How did he... He just... The bullets." The Marine soldiers say scared out of their life like they have seen a demon.
One of the Marine higher ranks I think begins to talk.
"So you have an ability of the Devil's Fruit."
"You got it I'm a rubberman." Luffy replies back. The Marine soldiers are confused and scared as hell you could just tell by their face expressions, which when people are scared it makes me happy for some weird reason.
"Use your swords soldiers! Guns won't effect rubber." As there up rank Marine says this, they charge right at us with swords. Like thats gonna work. Nami is holding the Apis in her hands.
"Sanji, Ibis." Nami says. I know what it means she wants us to protect Ryu from the Marines with our attacks.
"Yes Nami." Sanji says with hearts in his eyes. Can I throw Sanji off the cliff I mean he flirts with every cute girl he sees I mean it's ridiculous. He does not impress me more of makes me want to puke.
"Got it." I say already heading for the Marine soldiers full on force, attacking each of the Marine soldiers and accidentally making them bleed. While Sanji and Luffy just stood their shocked at my skill.
"So much for the Marine soldiers I guess I went a little overboard, my bad." I say kinda not sorry.
As the Marine soldiers just lay on the ground in pain with each one of them cut and bleeding. The higher up in rank Marine comes to us. He is a slender man with a square-like face, long sharp fingernails and purple hair, curled upwards in the shape like a hook. He wore a grey blazer and pants with red-colored sides, and a purple striped shirt underneath. On his chest, he wore something that looks like a golden brooch shaped like a bird-wing. He also wore a pair of earrings with pearls hanging underneath them. It is later revealed that under his glasses his eyes are very thin and doesn't show any of the eye itself at all. As he comes up he kills one of his own soldiers like they were trash with a slash of wind. People like him should die if they kill for the sake of it.
"What's that" Luffy says confused of what just happened.
"A knife." Sanji says still shocked like everyone else including me.
"My name is Erik the Whirlwind.
I'm a mercenary under the employment of Nelson Royale.
I have no interest in you lowlife pirates I only care about that dragon behind you."
I can't take it any more of this Bullshit. I attack as he says he has no interest in us pirates.
"You should be careful on what you do miss." Erik says to me as a gush of wind comes at me like daggers and attacks me cutting my skin.
"Ibis!" The others scream as they come closer to me checking if their bad.
"I'm fine don't worry...." I feel dizzy and everything comes black.
Luffy's POV: She began to lose consciousness as she closes her eyes.
"Now you know what happens if you oppose me you will taste the power of the Kama Kama fruit just like your friend from the Scythe Weasel."
"What does he mean by Kama, Kama?" Sanji whispers to me.
"Okama?"
"Hey Nami are we ready to go yet?"
"Almost Luffy."
"Can they hurry up." I say forgetting all about Erik here.
"You riffraff, are you even listening to me." Erik yells at us.
"It's Erik the Gay man right.
Yea I heard ya."  I say to Erik.
"You will regret angering me like your friend did." Erik says as he attacks is with the attack used on Ibis.
"The wind I create is as sharp as a named blade.
Tearing a person limb from limb is child's play."
The situation was getting worse we only hope that they will be here soon. The others were taking care of an injured Ibis.
"Can we go now Nami." Apis says worried about Ibis but who can blame her she went head on to attack him and got cut pretty bad.
"No not yet Apis, we are both worried about her once we get back on the ship we will take care of her injury right away."
"Now step aside lowlife pirates, hand over the dragon." Erik says done with all this. He stands there demanding the dragon and after what he did to Ibis. This is beyond cruel, we don't know much about her but she did save my life from execution and I trust her.
"Like Hell." I say pissed at for what he has done.
"My attack you want another."
"Can we go now Nami." Apis says worried as they put Ibis body on the cart next to Ryu and her sword behind her.
"Yes! They're set,
We're leaving guys." Nami calls us and I get on to the cart with everyone else as I sit next to Ibis. Sanji is At the end of the cart as he puts his foot on the rock behind the cart and kicks off sending us down the hill. The cart heads straight for Erik as he jumps over us and leaves us going down the cliff still.
"Theirs a boulder in the way." Apis says this  and to my surprise Ibis begin to regain consciousness and cuts the rock into tiny pebbles with one slash.
"This idea is nuts."
"That's just the way life may go sometimes." Ibis says smiling, in our minds we new she is in a bunch of pain though she won't listen to us.
Zoro's POV: We are pulling into the meeting spot.
"She said to pull right in front of the cape right?"
"Yeah!!" I reply wondering what the plan even is. The Marine ships are around us surrounding the ship.
"Damn this could get ugly."
"Looks that way,
Guess we have to fight..." As I say that the cart is rolling down the cliff at full speed and hits the main Marine ship down and glides on the water with some skips, as I was about to say something the skips launched Ibis onto the ship and luckily I catches her and put her down.
"That was their plan, geez." At least we found Ibis but what happened to her she looks badly damaged. A big slash mark on her arms up all the way down.
After they fill us on in with the details about what happened to Ibis. I help them tie a rope to the ship so Ryu can ride on the cart and so we don't lose him. Apis has joined our crew for now as we are now looking for The Lost Islands and to bring Ryu home.
