Chapter 9

****Haven POV****

Why were Seth's parents looking at him disapprovingly? Was I not enough? Is it because I don't speak?

My eyes were starting to form tears.

I couldn't let Seth's parents think I was anymore pathetic then they already did.

I stood up unable to take anymore of this. I was about to run out when Seth reached out and grabed my waist pulling me into his chest.

"Don't leave, please" Seth muttered for only my ears. I bury my face in his chest and he wraps his arms around me protectively. Unable to keep the tears in any longer they start to flow out. It amazed me how easy it was now to cry and show emotions.

Soothingly Seth stroked my hair trying to calm me down while whispering sweet calming words to me. My wolf purred at his touch and it took everything in me not to as well.

"Seth we need to talk to you. Now." A powerful voice boomed from across the table. I could tell that it was Seth's father.

My mate tensed and I could kind of feel his eyes turn a shade darker out of anger. This time it was my turn to calm him down. I wrapped my arms around his waist a little tighter, reassuring him that everything was okay and that I'm fine.

"What about Father?" Seth's voice held a little bit of anger.

"I mean......alone son." I could feel that he was looking at me. The tears were starting again. I tried to hide it from Seth but he knew and kissed my forehead.

"Anything you have to say you can say it now in front of my mate." Seth put slight power in his voice. He kept stroking my hair although I think it was more to calm himself down then me.

His father sighed then said "your mother and I both feel that your mate is not suitable to become queen. She is to weak, and she cannot even speak.

Because she is unsuitable we will arrange for you to find another mate."

My wolf whimpered at the thought of being replaced, although I only cried harder. A huge ear piercing growl snapped me out of that thought.

Seth had tightened his grip around my waist and was stating to shake. His wolf was on the edge of taking over.

"You will not speak about my mate like that. She will be your future queen if you like it or not.

Haven is my other half and you have no right to take her away from me. No matter who you are, Haven was made for me. I love her and that is final." Seth Spoke with so much power and hurt in his voice. It made my heart ache.

Wait......did he just say he loves me? Does he really? Do I love him?

Before I could question him Seth stormed out of the room dragging me with him. He ran up to his room and slammed the door loudly in back of us. Seth turned to me with concern in he's eyes and a glimmer of something else I couldn't quite point out. He wiped away my tears then softly spoke.

"I'm sorry about them Haven, I didn't know they would react like that. I'm so sorry.

But don't worry about what they said. Your my mate and I.......i ummm..... I won't let them take you away."

Seth walked over and sat on the bed patting the space beside him. I couldn't help but smile and sit next to him.

He pulled me closer and we snuggled. I looked up at my mates eyes. Did he really say he loved me? Do I love him? Why was this so complicated?

I think I love him. I mean he saved me and he seems to care for me a lot. I can't live without him. Although is that love? Maybe I heard wrong and he didn't really say he loves me. How could someone like him love someone as broken as me anyway. I'm not worth it.

I sighed then picked up a paper and pen. I need to know if he really said that. I scribbled a quick message.

*Do you love me?* it read.

I handed it to him and he read it.

"No" my face feel as he muttered that one word.

"Wait no Haven that's not what I meant. I do I really do love you, but I seem to be falling too fast and I don't want you to be scared and leave. I love you Haven I love you more then anything. But we barley know each other and......" Seth's rambling was cut off by me crashing my lips to his kissing him softly.

It took a second for him to kiss me back. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me on to his lap. Our kiss became more heated as I tangled my fingers in his hair tugging softly. Seth let out the sexiest groan ever and licked my bottom lip asking for entrance which I denied. He playfully growled then slide his hands down to my butt and squeezed it making me gasp. He took that as his chance to explore my mouth. We fought for dominance which I let him win.

Seth pulled away slightly resting his forehead on mine and looking into my eyes.

"Haven do you except me?" I could hear the nervousness in his voice. I nodded yes smiling widely. Seth's eyes lit up again showing the same sparkle as before.

He leaned in and trails soft kisses down my neck. Seth kept kissing till he found my soft spot, he sucked on it lightly.

I let out a moans as heat shoots to my core. Seth mumbles against my neck. "Can I mark you angle? Pretty please."

I shake my head yes.

I have never felt so deeply loved since before my mother disappeared. I feel Seth's canines elongate as they pierce though my skin. It hurts so much but soon that pain turns into pleasure. I let out a soft moan as Seth licks at the piercing.

Slowly exhaustion starts to take over and I close my eyes still wrapped in Seth's arms. My wolf is jumping up and down, so happy that we have been marked.

I snuggle into Seth.

"I love you Haven so so much" is muttered into my ear by my beautiful mate.

I reply softly "I love you too".

Then let the darkness take over.
