Love

I'm young, I get it, I don't have much experience with life yet, but I've still been put through the hash in my few years. First, let's get something out of the way, trials are a blessing even though they can bring you to the point of giving up on life, but sometimes that's the only place we can see the creator and the author of true love.

Psalm 136 says "His stead fast love endures forever". It's insane right, insanely gracious, insanely merciful, and we're insanely unworthy but that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because His patient love is eternal. But the thing that just gets at me sometimes is that even though we know His love is good and eternal, somehow we don't try and show that to others.

In my freshman year of high school we had a new kid in our class that no one got along with. Im ashamed to say how mean we were to him. But what seemed like a constant annoyance was what was growing my faith beyond measure. I'm glad to say that during this, my sophomore year of high school, we are much nicer to him and we are friends now.

My point of writing this is to say how can we, as followers of a loving God hate people and be so critical. And not just critical in actions, but words also. Christ lifted up, what does it say about the God we worship if all we do is put down others. We must genuinely love others if we want to spread the grace that has drastically changed our lives.
