Today a large semi truck carrying all our furniture and belongings was park by our house when we arrived. My mom parked the car and talked to the driver signing papers I waited in the car patiently glancing at my phone time to time. Finally my mom signaled me to come out. "Come bring your boxes to your room and prop the doors open for the movers." my mom said. "Alright." I replied. I went to the front door and propped it open and opened all the bedroom doors as the movers brought boxes in. It was 1:30 pm when they arrived and now it was 5:40 pm. Finally we finished unloading all the boxes and sent the semi truck on its way.  I set up my cheap metal bed frame and put the mattress on top and made my bed. My twin bed had been pushed up against the biggest window in the room. I unpacked a few things before going to bed. That night it rained... A loud bang of thunder woke me from my sleep. I've always loved thunderstorms. school hadn't started yet so I decided to stay up. I sat up in bed and turned around looking out the window  staring off into the darkness only lit by a street light and the moon. I focused on the lake, waves crashed over each other as they broke the reflection of the moon scattering it with every wave. As I starred lightning dashed across the sky occasionally touching the water scattering into little steams. I closed my eyes listening to the storm. I listened closely shutting out all senses but hearing. A muffled scratching... After a few seconds of thinking I knew where it was coming from...
