"Let's play again tomorrow and tomorrow and the day after that too! Promise?" A [height] girl with [h/c] hair said cheerfully to her first friend.

"Mm. Promise!" the pale blond hair boy did the pinky promise and bid farewell to the girl who is his first friend too. However the little boy did not know that the girl was a yokai.

"Oh yes, [l/n]! I have to tell something to you. But I'll have to tell it to you tomorrow."

"Okay!"

The next day came but the promise was not fulfilled because the little pale blond hair boy moved away to a different area.

"Where is it? Where?!"

You dug and dug the ground endlessly near the bushes, finding for a 'thing' that had been missing. It seems to be very precious to you.

A male teenager with pale blond hair that was heading to school stopped and looked at the busy girl. He was curious with the hole that you were digging.

"What are you doing?" He asked but you were too focus with your finding until you didn't realise the question.

"Miss?" He reached out his hand to tap at your shoulder but before he could do that, his friend called out to him.

"Natsume! What are you doing? We're gonna be late for school!"

Natsume looked at his friend and back to you who was searching at the bushes now.

"He didn't noticed her. Is she a yokai?"

"What are you looking at?! Come on!" The friend ran and pulled Natsume together with him.

"W-wait!"

"There's no time to wait! Didn't you see the time?! School's starting!"

The two males went away quickly. You stood up and scratched your head, completely unaware of the two boys earlier.

"I'm sure it's around here."

You searched at the grass, bushes, riverside and even climbed the trees. You sighed at your fruitless effort.

"Now, the only place I haven't go yet is that place. But there's so many people going there every morning! What if I got caught? Will they eat me?!" You shivered at the thought. "But I have to find it," you gathered your courage and went to the place which people call 'school'.

You hid behind the wall near the school. Slowly, you inched forward and peeked through the opened gate.

"I don't see anyone," you whispered and ran inside as quickly and silently as possible as if you're a spy. You hid behind a tree. You sighed in relieve and started your search again.

Little did you know that Natsume, accidentally spotted you from his class window when he looked outside for a moment.

"It's her again," he thought and observed you. "Is she finding something?"

The school bell gave a rang after a few minutes, giving you a shock of your life. The silent atmosphere was filled with voices of the students which had just been released from school.

"You're that girl that was digging earlier, aren't you?" You heard a voice behind you.

"Ahh! Human!" You crouched and covered your head with your hands. "I.. I don't want to die..." Tears of fear are rolling down your face.
