"Are we going to get ice cream?" Sun would ask us this same question within eight minute intervals of the last while we walked through the capital passing different shops. "When are we getting ice cream?" She was sitting on Amano's shoulders pulling on his cheeks over and over again, not letting up until she heard what she wanted.

"How about this," Lye suggested "I can take her to get some ice cream and we can have a little girls day while you boys go do the teams errands." She said the last part quickly.

"Yeah yeah yeah yeah. Put me down, put me down, put me down." Sun tapped on Amano's head making a little beat until he took her off his shoulders.

"Alright. Ow. Alright!" After putting her down he went on to flashing the little girl a quick glare only to be responded with Sun sticking her tongue out at him then running off to Lye's side.

"Let's go" Lye giggled and grabbed Sun's hand, walking away.

When I turned to look away I saw Amano's beaming expression as he watched her walk off. "So," I pat my hand on his back and push him in the direction of a nearby bar. "When are you going to propose to Lye?" We sit down at a table where I would wave my hand in order to gain the attention of the waiter.

"I'll propose to her when this is all over, and give her the life she deserves outside of this hell." He had the most wholesome look I've ever seen; a look that I didn't even believe was possible for anyone in this empire to make.

"Well I hope for the best" I clinked my glass of juice with his beer. He and I both knew that we were going to need all the hope and luck we could get because the climax was coming, very soon.

"Hey did you hear what happened at the Darrkins estate?" An old man a few tables down was speaking unnecessarily loud to his peer.

"Amano." I discretely nodded my head to the man

"Yeah I heard it was a slaughter fest. This guy even told me that the group was able to kill everyone from bodyguards, to servants, and the family; all in ten seconds."

Clearly not all their facts were correct.

"Ah B.S."

"No really. I know it's unbelievable but it's true." Old man number two strained his voice.

"No, what's truly unbelievable is that story about that man who survived the first encounter with them." A woman sitting behind them joined the conversation.

"What happened?"

"Apparently the guy that survived was labeled insane and the only thing he ever says anymore is 'shinigami' over and over again."

"Do you think that these shinigami are possibly divine beings that are here to pass judgment on the wicked of the capital?" Old man number two whispered in a low and creepy tone that would have probably been frightening if I didn't already know he was talking about us.

"If they are then it's about damn time they came to clean the filth of the capital." Old man number one snorted. "And they better expect to be working overtime too."

The people, including Amano, who were listening in were laughing at his remarks. As for I, I was distracted by the abrupt sound of a chair sliding back hard on the wooden floor and the short-haired blonde woman with a well blessed chest leaving said chair.

"Hey Tanto are you ok?" Amano was staring at me with his big brown eyes.

"Yeah," I spoke slowly as I watch her leave "it's nothing. I don't think."

"Should we get going?"

"Yeah, sure. We still have to finish the rest of the errands anyway." I stood up. "Also can you pay the bill thank you." I quickly walked out on him laughing.

After we left the bar we went on to finishing the rest of our mission; later meeting up with Sun and Lye to head back to our base.

Our base was hidden deep in a cave miles away from any major settled civilization. Its appearance was of a big log cabin style home that extended even further into the cavern, with three floors, and many rooms. When walking into the HQ, the four of us would carry ourselves through the halls towards the dining room where the rest of the team was preparing for dinner. We told them about the conversation we overheard at the bar, about other things we had looked into, and we showed them the clothes, accessories, and sweets we had brought as well.

"How long do you think we can still keep our identities hidden? I mean now that we are starting to become more known." Mon held his chopsticks close to his mouth.

"I don't know. Maybe we should buy masks just in case?" Sun suggested

"We shouldn't have to because we have nothing to hide." Noire spoke up

"Besides if need be I can always force someone to forget our faces or I could make them see something else besides us."

"Very well. So we shouldn't have anything to fear y-"

Amano farted causing everyone to quickly disperse from the table, laughing.

"Gross man." Our leader chuckled

"Sorry I must have ate the wrong ice cream earlier." The big guy had a very embarrassing red appearance as he rushed off to the bathroom leaving a trail of gas in his wake.

The way everyone was snickering you might have thought laughing gas had come out of his butt, however when I glanced over to Eiko, between tears, I noticed she was the only one not laughing instead she was walking away. Eiko was never one to show many emotions but even in this moment of rarity I could tell something was up.

"Hey are you ok?" I quickly jogged to her side trying to force myself to be serious.

"I'm fine. I just need to think." She turned into her room and ended the conversation with a closed door. I really hope she was alright.
