……Ding, ring, ring, ring! I heard buttons being pushed, and then heard some voices.

“Jessica, babe, please wake up! I’m sorry this is probably all my fault. I put you into total depression. I was being a total… idiot, and I just told you loads of stupid crap that I shouldn’t have said. Jessie, Jess, Sica, Essie…”

Yup that was definitely Carissa. Argh, she sounded like my mom with all the sweethearts and babes. My head was hurting, and I felt like a thousand pound ball fell on my body. And on top of that, Carissa wouldn’t stop with her weird nicknames. Along with my madness still in the air, I fluttered my eyes open a little bit.

“Ok Carissa, could you stop with the nicknames, and shut up for a just a second? Please my head is hurting, and I don’t want to be called Sica, it sounds like a disease that makes you throw up every five seconds.” I lay back down on my pillow with a thud and closed my eyes again.

“OH SWEETHEART! Girly you’re awake, OMG, I am so, so, so sorry I called you all of those things back in the hallway. I realized my stupid mistake. I promise you can always intrude in my social business. Like I don’t know, I totally forgot you’re my best friend. I don’t know even know why? Oh yeah, NURSE! She’s awake, NURSE!” Carissa yelled. “Nick get your butt over here and say sorry, ugh all of you Casonians are the same.”

Of course it was one of Cason’s best friends, Nick. Yeah let me tell you something. Cason had three best friends, who were actually, VERY HOT. They were inseparable. Yeah, there were Casonian wannabees, like they all wanted to be part of the group. But, Cason obviously being the… he is, always threatened them the other guys at school. Back to the point. Nick was the troublemaker in my opinion. Drew was definitely the sweet and quiet one; I don’t know how he landed in the group honestly. And Ayden was the mix of all of them. But Cason let me tell you was totally different-

“I’m sorry Jess “a” loser,” Nick said quietly. My mouth watered, he was wearing a polo shirt, and his fine muscles were showing through. But then I remembered the incident quite clearly. I laser glared through his crystal gray eyes. Carissa smacked him and glared also.

“I mean, Jessica. Sorry, I was just going to throw the ball to Cason, but then it landed on your huge- I mean head.”

“Nicholas, just go to class, I’ll take care of her,” the nurse purred and winked. Well it was about time she came, I thought.

“So uhh, do you remember what happened, the whole football incident? Well we checked if you had a concussion, but sad- I mean gladly you don’t. Would you like to go back home, or go to class?” The nurse asked while checking her nails.

Carissa smiled obviously thinking she could drop me back home, and then we could go to the mall. Now, now obviously I wanted to go back to class. I actually thought school was fun. History was last period, so why not?

“Um, I’ll just go back to class, I’m fine.” I slowly got back up. Carissa dropped her jaw as if I said I was moving to Antarctica. I laughed; she could be such a drama queen sometimes, oh Carissa…

“Ok grab a pass from the office, and you, you too get back to class,” the nurse said in an irritated tone. My goodness was she a teacher or an older replica of Ally? She was staring at me disgustingly like I had grown two heads and sashayed back into her office with her phone. Yeah sorry nurse, I’m sorry that idiot hit me with a football… Not exactly my fault, I thought. She was probably Ally’s sister or something. I sighed and waved to Carissa, and she waved back.

      “Sorry again,” she mouthed.

“It’s ok,” I mouthed back, and smiled and walked out.
