This morning the most unexpected thing happened. Bing! My phone turned on, notifying me. I've gotten a text. I looked at the screen and saw the number. No one I knew. Hmm. Weird.
"Hey, I'm here. Where do I meet you?" Said the unknown number. I took a moment, to remember what happened in the movies. Normally that meant a killer, drugs, or kidnapping. My thumbs hovered over the keys, unclear of what to respond. In the end, I didn't respond. I closed my phone, got my bag and keys, and headed to school.
My walk to school was normal. People rode past me in cars and bicycles. They greeted me, said good morning and so on. I could see the rest of the students slowly walking into the school court. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom this year, so the petals were scattered everywhere. As I approached, I noticed a student I've never seen before. Tall, blonde, slender, and a strict face. He leaning against the gate, looking around. For a person.
I walked past him and, heard him mumble, "Where is he..." guess he's waiting for his friend.
The sun poured into the classroom, the room was filled with laughter and conversations. Before I could even get to my desk, the class turned into a gasp. I looked to see what got the students attention. Normally it's a girl or boy turning goth or a huge transformation, but what I saw suprised even me. I saw the guy from the entrance standing in the frame of the doorway. His slender figure stood relaxed. Formal. "Is this class B?" His tone was deep, but not too deep. I saw half of the girls swoon and I swear I could see hearts form in their eyes. Looking around, some guys even blushed. Slightly. Interesting, one student can make half the class turn into slime.
The bell rang, and students shuffled to their seats. My desk, was in the back, near the door. Perfect. The new guy was seated behind me, it was an empty seat for a while. Now it was taken. Yay. He kept poking my shoulder through out class, asking me questions of different varieties. "What's the answer?" "Have any lead?" By the end of class, I made a friendship with him, without even trying (end of ch.1)
