"Mom when will I get my powers?" I whined, "It's not fair that Sierra got hers when she was my age and I still don't have them..."

I watched as my sister zoomed past me.

"Soon Cam, they'll come soon enough."

"But I want them now!" I complained.

It's not fair that all of my family has superspeed and I don't have any powers. I want to be the most powerful superhuman ever!

"You're such a brat, Donald. Maybe that's why you don't have your power yet," she said stopping in front of my mom and I, "because they don't like whiny little boys like you."

She stuck her tongue out at me and ran away. Sierra ran in circles around me. I stuck my leg out, tripping her.

"What the heck, Cameron?!!" She screamed.

I crouched down until I was inches away from her face.

"Don't call me Donald..."

I stuck my tongue out at her and walked towards the house, my mother scolding me to apologize. I went up to my room and locked my door.

One of these days they'll see. They'll all see. I'll be their powerful ruler. Everyone will bow down to me.

I took a nap for about an hour because being angry gets tiring. I was awoken by the loud knocks of my mom.

"Cameron Donald Allen Dallas, open this door right now!" She commanded. "How many times do I have to tell you not to run off like the way you did a while ago and to not lock your door when your angry because that's just rude."

I rolled my eyes.

"I understand you're upset sweetie. You want your powers. They're are a big part of our family, but they're a big responsibility too. They're not just some toy that you can play with... Maybe it's for the best that you don't have your powers or that you won't get them at all. They're dangerous and if anyone ever finds out about them, you can be in serious trouble."

"Mom stop it! I may be 8, but I'm not stupid. I'll learn how to take care of myself. I get that I'm a little kid, but you have stop treating me like one or I won't know how to grow up. When I get my powers you'll see how strong I am. I'll be stronger than Sierra, then maybe you won't like her more than me."

"Now you stop it Cameron. You know I love you both equally."

"Can you please just leave me alone? I'm tired from watching loser Sierra running around like an idiot all day."

As I said that Sierra passed by

"You're just a jealous brat, Donald."

I was about to chase after her until my mom stopped me and gave me a death stare.

"DON'T CALL ME DONALD, SIERRA DAWN!"

Sierra ran into my room.

"Then don't call me Dawn. And at least I have my powers unlike you, so who's the loser now?"

"Get out Sierra!" My mom yelled at her.

Sierra walked out. My mom gave me one last look and walked out too. I was alone again at last.

I went to my desk and took out my notebook. I began drawing what my suit would look like when I get my powers and my plan to take over the world until there was another knock on my door.

I let out a groan, "What?"

Sierra opened the door and said "Hey brat, dinner is ready and mom told me to call you down."

We all sat down for dinner and the front door of our house swung open revealing my dad.

"Daddy!" My sister and I shouted with glee getting up from our seats and running to him. My mom walked over to him.

"Barry, you're home," She said smiling from ear to ear. "Please sit, we were just starting with dinner."

My dad set his things down. "Great because I'm starving... And it's been a while since I've had a dinner with my beautiful family." He said looking at Sierra and I then leaning to kiss my mom.

"Yuck!" Sierra said.

We all laughed and sat down at the dinner table.

After we were finishing up with our food, having good laughs and catching up with my dads job as a forensic scientist, my mom began crying.

"What's wrong, Sweetheart?" My dad asked my mom.

"I don't want you to leave again. It would be so much easier for all of us to have you just work as a scientist and not a superhero too. We need you here Barry."

"You know I can't do that Iris... The city needs me. And I haven't abandoned you, I never will."

Just as he said that, my dad's phone let out a ring. This signifies he got another alert for his help.

My mom gave a saddened expression and looked down at her hands, "Do you want us to wait up for you?"

"No you can go off to bed if I'm not back by 9:30pm. I love you all. I'll see you soon."

"Please don't leave daddy. We want you to stay here with us." Sierra spoke up.

With anger rising up inside of me I yelled, "Just go! You always leave us anyway! Go take care of your stupid city instead of your family! I never want to see you again!" I ran up to my room with tears running down my face.

I slammed my door shut and locked it. I jumped into my bed crying. Before falling asleep I whispered to myself, promising: I will become the most powerful villain that the world has ever seen. No one will stop me and I will care for no one but myself...
