"Cynthia...Tremainy?" The substitute teacher called out.
How stupid can this lady be? "Tremaine." I corrected. I heard a few giggles behind me and let out a long sigh, this is going to be a long day.
"Pssssst! Candy!" Lucy whispered from behind me. Lucy is my best friend, a short, catlike blonde with bright blue eyes and oddly enough always wore some purple item, today it was a hair bow.
"Candy!" She whispered louder.
I continued to ignore her, not wanting to get on the substitutes bad side in the first 2 minutes of class.
Lucy threw a wad of paper at the back of my head.
"Oh my gosh what do you want?" I teased.
"Are you going to prom?" She casually whispered.
"Uhm I don't know yet..." I whispered back.
"Ladies! Hush!" The teacher barked at us.
We both rolled our eyes, slumping back into our chairs.
Finally, after an hour and a half of hell, the bell rang, dismissing the bored high schoolers from their first period.
Lucy and I walked to our usually table, being met by Jack and Gus, Candy's two jock friends who Lucy endlessly teased.
"Hello Thing 1 and Thing 2!" Lucy grinned at the two boys.
"Hello gorgeous." Jack winked.
Jack was a tall brunette with jade green eyes, he was pretty cute and knew it too, which made him cocky- especially with ladies.
Gus on the other hand was an adorable short gay guy and we've known each other since before pre-k.
Lucy sighed at Jack's comment and took out her phone.
I started pulling out books from my bag to finish the homework I never finished when Annie and Ella strutted by, bumping into me followed by the contents of my bag spilling all over the ground. They laugh, happily walking away.
Annie and Ella are my two biggest enemies. We were friends in middle school until I began dating all of our biggest crush and they began resenting me. Annie was a tall with long (fake) red hair. Ella was shorter with short chocolatey locks. The two were sisters, a senior and a junior.
"Bitches." Lucy snapped as she started helping to pick up my things.
"Skanks." Gus scowled at the two girls.
"Babes." Jack laughed as he checked them out.
Lucy reached across the table and smacked Jack on the forehead "Bad Jack!" She scolded him as if he were a dog.
I sighed, "It's fine."
"Jenny said that Lillian said that Annie told Amy that she got a nose job the summer after freshman year!" Gus gasped.
The bell rang and the four students groaned, "See you bitches later." Gus winked before seeing another group of friends and walking to class with them.
I hugged Jack and Lucy before headed off to my next class.
On the way there I happened to stumble into Eric, who was probably the hottest guy in school.
Naturally, I had to drop my books and phone. I quickly averted eye contact and went to grab my stuff, these poor books are getting so beat up today.
Eric bent down to help me with them, "Sorry 'bout that." He said with a side smile.
"N-no, it's my fault." I stuttered, I'm so going to beat myself up about that later. I looked up to find his eyes gazing into mine. After a few seconds I snatched my books out of his hand and darted away.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
