Lets Complain about Random Things!

Teachers and Subs

Everyone has teachers that they absolutely LOVE and absolutely HATE. You have those chill teachers and.... those "strict" teachers AKF: Sometimes MEAN!

To be honest I'm one of those people who act like a goodie-two-shoes but.....Trust me, if you get to know me I cuss pretty often...... Back to the point! So I have this french teacher who is just overly positive. Like really positive! Some of my classmates think she's kinda of creepy. But she's super nice. Point is, during the middle of the week she wasn't at school and that means a sub. I'm not really sure why but... Moving on!

So I walk into the classroom as I noticed Mrs...... Lets just call my french teacher errr....um.... Mrs. E! Mrs. E usually stands by the door to greet us as we walk in. But she wasn't there that day. I just thought....Okay....There must be a sub ...... But little did I know what waited inside....

So I walked in like a normal student and looked to the teacher's desk. The sub was a elderly woman with white hair and pale skin. "Oohhhh!!!" students exclaimed like someone just messed up really badly. She threw up her arms like she gave up on something. I just shurged it off and turned to look what she was looking at.

Someone has spilled their sport's drink on the carpet. It wasn't a large spill but it was maybe about a bit more than half a foot wide. Right away I was like... NOPE! STAYING OUT OF THIS! So I just walked to my desk in the back of the classroom and set my backpack down. All the students sat in their seats as the sub used the school phone to call the office.

Sub- Hi..um....Can we get the custodian here? A student spilled their drink on the carpet.

The office people told her something and she hung up. I started to get my notebook out like a good normal student and waited for instructions.

Sub- Alright. I'm going to take roll. Say here when I called your name. *Says in a grumpy voice*

Class- Okay...

Suddenly this student who is known to be that one person who like to call out random comments is like.

Dumb Student- You really messed up, Jake

I'm calling the student who spilled the drink "Jake"

Sub- Hey! Don't talk when I'm talking!

She snaps at him. Everyone shuts up as the room became silent... I start to whisper to the student front of me.

Me- Rip. This sub's mean...

Student- I know.

She started to take roll as each student says here in responds. Suddenly the phone rings as it goes on speaker.

Office person- Hello?

Sub- Yes?

Office person- Can you have the student please clean up the spill?

Sub- Yes, he doing it right now

Office person- Alright, bye.

Why did she need to call the office, I have not idea......... She continues to call roll as she get to...... that one quiet student in the class.... And I mean really quiet. (Let call her Jessica)

Sub- Jessica!

Jessica- H-here.... *raises her hand a little*

Sub- Jessica! *Looks up to the class*

Jessica- Here. *Says a little louder*

Sub- Say here when I call your name so I don't have to look up!!!

She yells. I'm like......Okayyy........ This sub sucks..... Like who yells at a student?!?!? Anyways she finishes roll as that kid from earlier shout something out again.

Sub- Can you shut up and not talk when I'm talking?!?!

She yells at the kid. At this point, I'm like..... this teacher needs to C H I L L!!! Anyways we end up watching a movie that had a bit of kissing and making out which I questioned. A few before the bell rings she stops the movie as we kinda of hanged out and waited for the bell. All of the sudden she becomes the literal history teacher! She starts to talk about her daughter or something like she didn't just yell at someone like 30 minutes earlier. Anyways the bell rang like a minute later as everyone rushed the heck out of the room.

The next day it was a much younger and cheerful sub. My classmates start to greet her cheerfully as we tell her of what happened yesterday.

Random student- She yelled at me for saying "Good Morning"!

Sub- What? *Has a confused face*

Another student- Yeah she yelled at another kid for not saying "Here" loud enough.

Sub- Wow, why would she yell at you for saying good morning? Did you know her name?

It was that point we all realized.... She never told us her name or what to call her....

Me- She actually didn't even tell us her name.

Sub- Wow.... Hmm..... I still don't understand why she yelled at you....

UPDATE! (I wrote this top part like two days ago)

Let get to the point. I walked into my English class and noticed we had a sub. This woman had sub for few of my classes before but I didn't know much about her. Anyways, all students walk in as we all sat down in our desk like normal. She tells to get out a piece of paper and like just normal students we did.

You know how you always have those people who just never have paper on them? Yeah those who always ask you for paper but you just give it to them because it just a piece of paper. So one of those people sits next to me in this class. He asks me for paper so just give to him but as I hand it to him the sub walks up in front of us and is like...... Where's your paper?!?! I'm just like um.... I'm giving him paper if you're blind..... He says "Right here." as I decided just place on his desk. "No that's her paper!" the sub yells at him. "Well I don't have any paper on me right now..." he says in the nicest way possible because you have to respect your elders. "Get out your learning log and write it down in big letter being paper!" BTW a learning log is basically a calendar notebook that has the days and boxes for us to write down our homework and other things.

Anyways, not wanting to get in trouble he does it right way. Then she announces to the class, "If you don't have paper on you, write it down in your learning log, bring paper in big letters!" she yells.

Like chill! Its a piece of paper! Its not worth like $20 or something!

Anyways that was my encounter with mean subs last week and this week. I really hope both subs doesn't come back anytime soon. Tell me in the comments down below about any stories you guys have about a sub or a teacher you have in school.
