Part 9

BEE

I couldn't understand for the life of me why Hov was actin the way he was. It just made my heart hurt that he was treatin me like this all of a sudden. I know me gettin in between him and his brother wasn't all of the reason why he wasn't talkin to me anymore. "BEE!"

"What?" I turned to see my manager standin wit her hands on her hips.

"I been callin u for like two days now. Come on," she said starin at me smilin a little. "U okay?"

"Yeah just daydreamin," I said walkin into her office. As we sat down she began to talk wit me.

"So okay..have u thought about takin the position?"

"Yeah."

"And...."

"I wanna take it."

"Good. Then u have the rest of the day off and the weekend and Monday u be back here seven sharp, okay?"

"Alright."

"Have a good one," she said to me as I walked out.

As I passed Kel who was talkin to some girl that looked really familiar, I clocked out. "What u doin?"

"Goin home."

"What?" Kel said handin the girl her change. I couldn't stop lookin at the girl cause I knew her from somewhere. She looked at me makin me turn my attention back to Kel who was gettin the girl's food. "How u get off?"

"I got promoted."

"I'm jealous...but proud. I'll call u when I get off though-I ain't get a chance to tell u about the that happened last night."

"Ahight then." I walked from the clock towards the door and I saw that same girl talkin to another girl that looked familiar, I heard them talkin.

"Yeah he been chillin wit me lately and he still usin a condom. I hate that."

"Chameka give it up. He ain't goin for that man."

"Whatever, I'ma be Miss Hov." My heart almost stopped when I heard his name. I realized those were the same girls from the grocery store that day and here she was talkin about him again. I sized her up and saw that she wasn't as half as bad as I was and here he was wit her. I couldn't believe it. I walked out of the door a little more than upset. It was two thirty and I had nothin to do.

I sat at the bus stop watchin all the cars pass. I saw a few Ranges wonderin if they were Hov but I tried to get my mind away from him. It was obvious he was done wit me since I wasn't puttin out like Chameka. I guess hers was that good but I didn't care anymore. I should have known he was a let down.

After ridin on the bus and gettin off at my stop I went to the store to get some juice. I barely had anythin to eat at home since I had to catch up on my rent and pay the other bills to. I only had ten dollars in my pocket to use until next Thursday. Inside the store I walked around tryin to find the cheapest juice. I payed for it and then left. I saw Plies standin where I had to cross to get to my apartment and i was hopin he wouldn't say anythin to me. I got up to him and he looked at me. "What's up Bee?"

"Nothin. What's goin on?"

"Dealin wit that crazy ass friend of urs. She got drama-u know that right?"

"Yep," I said laughin. I heard some loud music bumpin down the street and I saw Hov comin in his Range.

"There's yo boy," Plies said lookin at me for a reaction.

"Nah...I'm so straight on that," I said walkin to my apartment. I almost ran up the steps hopin he wouldn't get out his car and see me. When I got to the safety of my apartment I locked the door and leaned on it like he was about to bomb-rush it. I stepped away and sat my stuff down to plop down on the couch. I had my cable cut off so I really had nothin to watch on tv. I was about to pop in a movie when my phone rang. I went over to it knowin that it was Kel. "Yeah girl tell me what's up."

"Hunh?" I almost dropped the phone hearin his voice. "Bee? What the hell u talkin about?"

"What u want," I said soundin agitated.

"P-dawg just told me he saw u goin in yo house, u mind if I come up and talk?"

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why u wanna talk to me for? Shouldn't u be wit Chameka or somethin?" i said hangin up. He wasn't about to play me out for nothin.
