"The strongest people make time to help others, even if they're struggling with their own personal problems"

I'm walking to school when I see Harvey and his mates. They all have their arms slung loosely around the schools sluts except Harvey who is wedged in the middle of huddle. Kirk mason, one of the best looking guys at our school, pulls Charlotte (most popular girl at our school)and him next to Harvey. kirk whispers something into Harvey's ear and I watch as his face turns from a slight smirk to a frown that makes him pull his eyebrows together. Charlotte giggles into kirks chest as he throws his head back roaring with laughter. I watch Harvey look around him frantically like a kitten being surrounded by bloodthirsty hounds. He stops still as the group carry on walking towards school without him. He shakes his head with disapproval then turns his head to the other side of the road where I'm staring at him. I quickly pull the hood up of my hoodie and shove my earphones in my ears so hopefully he doesn't bother to make a conversation. I flick through my phone and find my Ed Sheeran playlist. I pick up my speed so I'm almost jogging but it won't help because he's the fittest guy at our school and could run me down any day. I just have to turn the corner then I'll be at school but me being the most clumsy person in the entire world , walks straight into a rock hard lamppost. My head spins with pain and I plummet to the pavement. I frantically pull out my earphones and shove them into my pocket along with my phone. I curse under my breathe for being so clumsy until I'm broken from my thoughts and a big muscular hand is placed on my trembling shoulder. "Hey are you alright there? Surprised you didn't knock your little self out" I glance from behind my chestnut hair to see Harvey crouching beside me with a playful smirk. I quickly brush myself off ignoring the pounding headache that is making me dizzy. I scramble to my feet making Harvey jump slightly. "Lilly?" .Oh no. oh god. he's recognised me. "I-umm-I'm going to be late" I quickly take my boring green eyes away from his never ending ocean blue ones . I try to scurry away from him ,like a mouse making its escape from a deathly owl, only to catch my foot in the crack of the pavement. I'm about to plummet to the floor again except this time two sturdy hands have been attached to my waist to stop me from falling and are placing me back on my own two feet. I sway lightly and my knees buckle from under me pulling my body down to the ground again. Harvey puts my arms around his shoulders and with his curled on my waist, he guides me to the nearest café.

He carefully places me down on the nearest chair like I'm a sheet of glass and he smoothly slides into the chair opposite. Watching me with a caring eye. That's one word to describe Harvey, smooth. Everything about him is so slick, everything he does looks like it's effortless. The way he sprints down the rugby pitch towards a guy twice his size and swoops him off his feet like he's a twig not a huge muscular teenager. The way he bounces when he walks with his arms swinging at his sides. The way his thick mud brown curls jump up and down off his forehead as he walks. The way the curls in his hair are glossy and when the sun hits them they shine almost as bright as his ocean eyes. The way he smiles at anyone even if their spitting abuse into his face. I don't know why I have so much curiosity for Harvey small but there's just something about him, something that I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It's not just his strong features and luring six-pack that drops any girl to their feet. There's something different about Harvey. He's not just any guy.

A young waitress stands at our table questioning Harvey about what we want to order but I can't hear anything with my head throbbing so loud. I watch her pull her hair band out of her blonde hair and pulls it out of its bun to bounce on her shoulders. She completely ignores my existence and turns her back to me. I watch her playfully smirk at Harvey and she giggles whenever he says anything. Once he's ordered she winks and leaves a napkin on the table with a phone number scribbled on it and struts back to the counter. So cliché .I lay my head on the table just wishing my pounding headache would go away. It's like a herd of elephants are stampeding my brain. I quickly peek out from under my hair to see Harvey watching me curiously. I groggily peel myself off the table and sit up. "How ya feeling lil?" "Only friends and family call me that" "so I'm not a friend then?" Harvey smirks at me cheekily and raises an eyebrow waiting for my answer. "Nope" i reply popping the p. "Lilly I could have just left you at there on the pavement" " and I could have left you to jump off the bell tower". This is the reason why I only have one friend. I watch as hurt crumples his features. He's takes in a sharp breathe and is about to say something but I quickly jump in "sorry I-i didn't mean it, things just jump out of my big gob sometimes. I'm so stupid I should just leave" I'm grabbing my bag and about to get out my chair when Harvey grabs my hand and looks at me sheepishly. "Lilly. Please, stay" he pleads. His hand is still held onto mine and that's all I can think about, my skin, where it's touching his sparks with heat and butterflies bounce around in my stomach. As soon as the words leave his mouth I'm instantly sat back down in the chair.
