Today is a bit out of place. Ashley have been missing breakfast because she was in her friend's house for a sleepover since Saturday. And today is Tuesday. I mean, it is normal to have sleepovers but for 3 days non-stop is not really a usual thing in this house.

Mum started getting worried even though she knew Ashley was fine at her friend Cassie's house. She kept on calling her and sending her texts and voicemails. And yes Ashley replied to all of them.

Well Dad on the other hand is only worried sick but I think he doesn't have time to worry about us 'cause of his work. Well that sucks doesn't it?

I haven't heard from Bianca and Meg from ages. Well, from 2 days but still. I have been hanging out with Tyler and his friends a lot lately. Even though I saw Bianca and Meg and school, they just smiled or waved. I don't feel like the old weird Alexis anymore.

Tyler and I have been hanging out more than he has been hanging with his friends and more than I have been hanging out with my friends. Is that even okay?

"Are you okay?" Tyler asks waving his hand across my face up and down.

"Yeah."

"I have to talk to you after school."

"About?"

"Something important that I think you should know." Tyler says unsurely. What could it be? About his family? His love life? His friends? His social life? His gender...?

"Oh god, your not gonna tell me your gay,are you?"

"What?! No"

"Something to do with my life." I had 1 more hour till after school. I couldn't wait. But I don't know why.

It was finally after school. As soon as I walked out of the maths class, Tyler pushed me into the janitor's closet with him. I felt very uncomfortable.

"Do you mind letting go off my hand?" I hissed.

"Sorry. But I have to tell you that thing I was talking about."

"Oh yeah. What is it? Make it quick cause mom's picking me up."

"Oh don't worry, I called her."

"You what...!?"

"I called her and told her that I'm gonna drop you home. But that doesn't really matter right now. I wanted to tell you about the day I came with a bruised eye and all that."

"Oh. I thought it was 'none of my business'?"

"Well, things change. A lot."

"So tell me."

"Okay so the night before I came to pick you up, I got into a small fight with my parents. But that was only talking. More like yelling."

"Go on...."

"My mom and dad were the starters. They started yelling at each other about....basically everything. I didn't know what to do honestly. But there was one thing I did know. It's that Kevin has a girlfriend who is in college." He says very seriously.

At this point I couldn't do anything but laugh. I mean, who on earth wouldn't laugh.

"Hey! I'm trying to be serious here!" He says annoyed.

"Sorry. I just couldn't get how Kevin and his love life is connected to your family problems. Don't mind me, just go on."

"My mom loves Kevin. Like literally. She thinks he is such a mushy guy in and out but it's the total opposite. Kevin doesn't have parents, he lives in foster homes around school 'cause other schools wouldn't accept kids like him. So my mum, felt really bad for him and she even takes care of Kevin better than me. I mean, doesn't mean I need caring..... but still. "

Weird. "Okay. Then why were you telling me about who Kevin's dating out of nowhere?"

"Because mom knows the girl, but she doesn't know the girl's mom. And like I said, Kevin's problem is my mom's problem. So mom thinks that it will be unhealthy for Kevin's girl and Kevin if both the parents doesn't know. And well, obviously my dad will get irritated, and he did, he is against my mom pampering Kevin. I mean that's fair cause he is not even her child! So mom put up a fight about it and yeah."

"So how did you get your eye look like a blueberry?" I ask curiously.

"Oh that. Well it kinda involves your family."

"WHAT?!"

"Calm down Lexi. When I said your family, I meant your sister."

"Oh. That's fine."

"So I overheard Kevin and his 'girlfriend' making plans of going out of town for three days. I wasn't even introduced to his girlfriend. In fact, I didn't even see her face, until I decided to go say hi to the couple. It was your sister."

"My sister? Ashley? Ashley Caraway? That stranger who lives with me? Who always gets pampered by mom and dad? The immature one?"

"Yes. Her. So when I saw it was Ashley, I got so pissed off. But she didn't know me so she was as nice as possible. So the first thing I did was give Kevin a high five. On the face. With my hand. Then it was a big fight, and that's how my eye looked like a blueberry."

"Oh. So she is a rebel." I say bitterly.

"Not her, it was Kevin."

"So why did you want to tell me this?"

"I don't know, I feel like I'm gonna tell you everything. Like your my best friend."

Oh shit, I just got deeply friend zoned.
