A/N: SKIP TO THE SUMMER VACATION.
The first day of vacation had arrived and Samantha was more than happy to wake up in her house, truth be told it felt weird, after spending too much time at school it had began to feel more like home than home. She woke up before the sun had raised and heard commotion downstairs.
Her gut told her to start packing clothes into the emergency bags, it wasn't the first time that people broke into their house but from the experience that she had she knew to pack clothes to sleep and clean underwear and coats. Then grabbing the axe and bat from under the bed and placing them on the bag.
She then walked to her sister's room and whispered called out her name "Looking for her?" a familiar voice sneered behind her making her jump "Camy..." Samantha whispered looking at her presumed dead friend, "You look different... What happened to you?" Samantha asked, "I'm a vampire very much like the people you go to school with and befriended." Camy cackled sending the bad type of shivers down the brunette's back.
"I don't go to school with vampires." Samantha said defending her friends, "Ohh but you are, your friends Vasilisa Dragomir and Natalie Dashkov are Moroi, the good kind of vampire in a way. I'm the bad kind and I came here to finish your and your pathetic family off." Camy said as she gripped onto Ariana's arms harshly before she ran out the door dragging a scared 3 year old Ariana Kollstone.
Angered Samantha quickly grabbed clothes for her little sister and her back pack, she then got dressed and rushed downstairs to find her parents murdered on the floor, chocking back tears she walked to the kitchen and and grabbed food to take then grabbed her purse, placing the phone, charger and money on a pocket and the food just inside.
Samantha then walked out of the house and ran towards the mountains, following her little sister's screams, arriving at the cave Camy was holding Ariana hostage, "Give her back." Samantha growled out a viscous and protective look and stance taking over her usual relaxed and happy appearance.
"Come and take her." Camy taunted, snapping her fingers allowing a group of Strigoi to take position and attack Samantha, something inside Samantha snapped and she moved in a way she never had dreamed nor trained.
Ducking the incoming attacks and dropping the bags on the floor and grabbing the axe, she swung it and instantly she decapitated 2 strigoi angering Camy, Samantha moved with such grace and ability that it marveled Ariana, catching and keeping attention so she didn't notice the heads roll on the ground and the bodies fall.
Kicking one of the last two enemies Samantha twirled, her hands hot and tingly as an urge to extend her hands ran through her mind, she did so and the two Strigoi fell on the ground in ashes. "Impossible..." Camy whispered, making Samantha smirk and throw the axe sideways setting it on fire, it quickly hits it's target and cuts Samantha's head clean off.
The adrenaline quickly fades from her system and she falls quickly to the ground whispering out "Lissa..." before going out.
Lissa however was having a sleep over at Natalie's family permanent residence in the school ground when she awoke with a gasp, quickly getting out of bed and running downstairs to the front door. "Princess what's wrong?" Spiridion asks being the first to see her, "Samantha's in danger." Lissa said.
