Best friends are the worlds greatest thing. A girl needs a best friend more than a boyfriend.
Hazel was just a normal girl. There was nothing special to her until she met her best friend Daisy. Hazel was a girl who knew everyone. Everyone loved her. Daisy was the rebel kind of girl until she met Hazel. Daisy had been depressed since she was twelve years old. She has always had a hard time with people, her family accepting her, getting a boyfriend. The only reason Daisy had a hard time getting a boyfriend is because she liked someone who didn't feel the same way.
It all started when they were both thirteen years old. Daisy had just moved to a new city. Which meant she had to make new friends, and she had to go to a new school. Daisy wasn't happy about any of that. It took her two months to get over that. The only reason it took so long is because she had a hard time fitting in. It's really hard when you are thirteen and have to start over. The first year she was in the new city they didn't know each other very well. They didn't speak to each other.
Before they became best friends they used to hang out with different people. Daisy hung out with people she didn't fit in with. Hazel hung out with a small group of people. She fit in with them well. She didn't stand out when she was with them.
They next year when they were both fourteen years old. Daisy made a huge decision to stop hanging out with the people she was hanging out with to hang out with Hazel and her friends. That was probably one of the best decisions she made. That decision changed her whole life and she is always thankful for that decision. That day Daisy met Hazel, Liv, Cameron, Martha. Martha and Liv left the school so it was Hazel, Daisy, Cameron. Then Hazel saw to people sitting together, so she told them they could sit with us. Next thing they knew they were apart of there squad.
The school changed all of there schedules, so Jeremy wasn't in our squad any more. Our friend Asia started sitting with us because her squad changed schedules. Jeremy's friend was still at our table. His schedule didn't change like Jeremy's. Jeremy's friend name was Joey. So now our squad was just Joey, Cameron, Asia, Daisy, Hazel. We were all really close the only people we weren't close with Asia and Jeremy. Even though Asia was in our squad.
The next year when they were supposed to go to High School. They all had to split up, since that school was closing. Daisy wasn't depressed any more. Depression would come and go for her. They were both fifteen now in High School. Daisy became depressed since she had to go to a new school. A school where she doesn't know any one. She tried to make friends but it was kinda hard. The friends she had made were nice and everything. But they weren't completely trust-able.
Half way through the school year, Daisy started having a hard time. It was so bad she tried to commit suicide. Daisy was taken to the hospital. Hazel was there fifteen minutes after it happen. Cameron and Joey showed up thirty minutes after it happen. They all waited until her parents got there. The doctors had Daisy under sleeping medication. So she was out for a while. Cameron and Joey went to go get food very so often because Hazel wouldn't leave daisy's side. They would always return with fast food or some kind of snacks.
Six hours after Daisy trying to commit suicide, Daisy's parents finally showed up. Even though Daisy's parents were there. Still Hazel would not leave. Daisy's parents tried to get Hazel to leave, but she insisted on staying. So Daisy's parents told her to get some rest since she has been here a while.
Daisy was asleep most of the time. She missed two weeks of school. Hazel only missed one week to be with Daisy. Hazel knew she couldn't leave Daisy. It wouldn't feel right if she did, so she stayed at her house for the first week. The second week of school Daisy missed. Hazel went to school and since she was in High School she could go out and get lunch. Hazel would go out and go over to Daisy's house to check on her. Since Daisy's mom was a lawyer, she could some times work at home so she didn't go into the office that week.
Daisy would wake up even so often. Once in a while, when she would wake up you could tell that she was getting out of the depression. But all Hazel and Daisy's parents could do is let her sleep. The doctors said to let her sleep, until she decides she doesn't want to anymore. The second week of her sleeping. Daisy decided she didn't want to sleep anymore.
So Daisy went back to school, three days after she decided she didn't want to sleep anymore. The doctor should have had Daisy go to a group for her depression, but he didn't. That was probably on of the worst thing he could have done. He should have sent Daisy to a mental hospital, and put her on hold for 72 hours. The doctor wasn't a very good doctor, because he was learning. After Daisy went back to school, so many people kept staring at her. Daisy doesn't like to be the center of attention, but in this case she was. Everyone at the school knew she had tried to commit suicide. No one would come up to talk to her, all they would do is stare. People staring at Daisy made her uncomfortable. When she got home that night, she cut herself. When she cut they were deep, deep enough to draw a lot of blood. The next day, she went to school. She had the same problem still. Her mom thought she was getting better. Daisy and her mom weren't that close. So when Daisy got home that night, she cut herself deeper, than the night before. Then she took a over dose on sleeping pills. Hoping she wouldn't wake up. Right before she took the pills, she wrote her suicide note. She wrote about why she was doing it. She told everyone she loved that she loves them, and then took the pills. Hazel came over to her house that night. Hazel is the one who found her body and the note. Hazel had called the police and everything, but they took to long to get there. So when they got there Daisy was dead. After Hazel called the police, she called Daisy's mom. So Daisy's mom and the police arrived at the same time. While Hazel was waiting for the police and Daisy's mom to arrive, Hazel was trying to get Daisy to wake up. After the Police called the time of death, Hazel walked over to Daisy's desk and saw the suicide note.
"Dear, whoever is reading
I'm so sorry, but I've had enough of this sick, cruel world that we live in. These are my last words. Don't you ever think it was your FAULT. It never was, it was because of all the people who made my life feel like sh*t. I love everyone. It was just too much to handle. So I ended the pain.
Sincerely,
Daisy"
After Daisy died, Hazel and Daisy's mom became depressed. Everyone who was close with Daisy had a hard time with life after she died.
