It all started during the last day of spring, I had no friends. No one particularly knew me and I the same. There was these girls slowly gaining popularity, I stayed out sight from them. They had a thing for being bullies. Though it was when my teacher announced fall farm day that it truly hit me.
Everyone had family coming, a lover, a friend. I had no one....mom worked to support us and her job often required her travel. She sent me a month's allowance to keep me going. Don't get me wrong being a teen and a house someone would consider 'lucky' has its perks when your the only one there. After awhile though...its not fun anymore....
My dad dropped out my life when I was five, his family hates us for some random reason and my mom's family disowned her for getting married without their blessing. But back to the fall thing..
It was days like this I was self aware of my lonliness even if I had one more year to go and soon my career would take my focus. What was the point? No one to share it with, no motivation, just me. So i did what any sane person would do.
Summoned one.
"I-i Um....want a friend?" I smiled nervously sweating bullets.
Ok I'm not sane I get it.
The girl jumped when booming laughter filled the room, all the eyes squinted as the room seem to darken more. "U-uhh...I'm..not joking." The laughter stopped but turn into chuckling as the darkness disappeared and a man appeared wheezing with laughter bent over with his hands on his knees. "Oh this is new!" he said "I've only ever been summoned three times in my many years on this pitiful planet."
The girl held a defensive stance as she scooted towards the door the man's shoulder length black hair seem to curl. Suddenly she screamed when black substance shot at the door "oh no no no!" he said "fine! What do you want! The darker female stared at the paler male, red meeting brown. "Your not gonna sell your soul to me for free are you?" he questioned raising an eyebrow.
"o-oh yeah...heh" she said "Um can you like....be my friend till the end of this month?" The male hummed and sat on her bed. She could have sworn she saw two pairs of eyes on his collarbone blinked at her. His long legs folded on her bed and she now slightly not as fearful noticed his attire. "why are you dressed like a business man?" She asked him and her chuckled "What do you think this is?" he asked "The blossoming of friendship?" she replied as he fell back in full blown laughter. She faked laughed some too reaching for the door but every time the black goo hardened making it impossible to turn the know or move the door for that matter.
"Oh your a funny one little human i'll give you that." he whispered suddenly appearing behind her. Oh holy jesus, oh beautiful mary, christ amen she thought praying for someone to save her.
"To seal this contract all we have to do is make contact." he went on "like saaay....a kiss.." The girl froze glancing at the way too close male and slammed her hand on his forehead "THIS IS ENOUGH!"
An eye contract formed on his forehead and one on her left hand. "You slap hard for a human." he snickered "well pleasure doing business with you.
I didn't know I would regret bringing a demon into my life probably older than my great X5 gramps in my life or expected that my last two years of highschool I would make the biggest and closest friend of my life.
