Chapter 8

When Rose woke up, she heard voices, then a punch. "Come on, let's go." Someone said to her, as they opened her cell. She looked up at who it was. It was Josh's dad! "You're alive? But how?" Rose asked, astonished. He looked at her sadly. "I'm not alive, I'm dead, and this is my spirit." Rose gasped, and felt tears come to her eyes. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have stayed with you and your son. I'm so sorry." She said. "It's ok, I was getting old anyways." He chuckled. "Let's get you out of here. I'll go distract the devil, you go, run, to the River Styx, and tell Josh I said hi, and that I love him." He said. Rose nodded, hen stood up. "Go. Take care of Josh." He said, as he walked off to go distract he devil. Ok, a left, then it should be here. Aha! Here it is! Rose thought. She gave the driver a coin, and they took off. When they got to the Overworld, Rose thanked the driver, and ran off. I hope I remember the way to Josh's place. Rose thought. There it is! Rose turned a corner, and Josh's house was right there! Rose ran up to the door, and knocked. Josh opened it, looked distracted and distressed. "You're ok!" Rose said grateful. "Rose! Where have you been? It's been 3 years!" He said. Rose gasped. "3 years? How?!" She asked. She noticed he looked older, and cuter. "Haven't you noticed?" He asked her. "No, if you couldn't tell, I've been down in Hell!" She said. Really Rose. Nice job not sounding crazy! Rose thought. Josh gave her an accusing look. "Listen! It's the truth ok! Please! How would you explain your fathers death, and me just disappearing all of a sudden?" Rose pleaded. Josh looked hurt. "Come inside." Josh said, sadly. He led her inside. "Tell me everything." He said. So Rose did. She told him everything she had been through. She also told him about what his father said. "I hope he's ok." Josh said sadly. Rose looked into his eyes. She rest her hand on his, and he looked over at her, then he kissed her.
