Waking Up

Luke Hobbs POV:

I sat next to Vera's bed silently praying she'd wake up. The nurse has been in multiple times to tell me I should be resting but knowing Vera was hurt worst than me pushed me to break a few rules. "Vera. You gotta wake up! Toretto and the others know your here and are on their way to see you right now. If you don't wake up they will be let in to see you without your permission. I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you. I failed as an adopted big brother to you but your still my little sis. Forgive me." I was crying at the end of my speech holding her hand.

Vera's POV:

The first thing I heard when I woke up was the damn annoying beeping from my heart monitor. I growled at the damn thing and took it off throwing the shit away from me.  I sit up slowly and notice Luke asleep next to my bed. I sighed and stroked his big bald ass head reminding me of Rome and his big ass forehead of his.  I laughed aloud a bit to loud since I woke Luke up. "Hey."

"Your awake! You're alive! I'm sorry sis I'm so sorry! Yell, scream, hit me I don't care just please forgive me!" He begged crying as he held my left hand in his to his forehead.

"Easy bro, I ain't going to yell at you.  It wasn't your fault I got blown up I'm guessing. It explains why I hurt so much on my back. I swear if there are scars you are buying me a full back tattoo." I laughed at how ridiculous I sounded.

"Are you okay? You got blown up and now your laughing. Do I need to get a doctor for you?" He looked at me like I finally went insane.

I pondered his questions holding up my pointer finger as the universal sign of one moment. I hummed and said, "Nah I'm good but I'm serous with the tattoo. Even one miniscule scar and your taking and paying for my tattoo."

He laughed and hugged me. "Alright. Just get better. Docs say that you can leave once they see if the burns are healed."

I hug him back and look at him when we pull away. "How long have I been out?"

"A few months. Your heart stopped 6 times on the way here and then another 3 times on the operation table then 5 times in here after the operation. Each time you kick started your heart yourself, it's like you were fighting with Death just to come back. I was afraid to loose you again so I stay here overnight after work."

"Thanks big brother. So what all have I missed?"

He sighs and sits in the chair he fell asleep in. "Not much, I've told the doctors and nurses that besides me, Suki, Tej, Brian, Mia, and Roman you were not to have any other visitors. And even those guys were to wait till I get here in order to see you."

I smile at him, "Thanks. That's all I would have wanted to be in here. What all did they say?"

"Suki was crying begging you to come back and kick Dom's ass, Roman was sobbing and saying he was gonna make whoever did this pay for fucking with you, Tej was holding your hand and saying if you got up from this he's gonna make you a car to fit your life story and you, they were all pissed at what Dom did, Brian was holding Mia as they both cried for you to get better and kick some ass. They also want you to be the Godmother to their next child and even promised to name their first girl after you."

"So you know what Dom did then? How do you feel about that? And damn I'm out of it for a few months and I'm getting a new car, a child named after me and being a Godmother. Shit gotta love family."

"About the being out of it thing...They are comming back today to see you. They will be amazed your back. As for Dom.......he's.......
