As I walked down the street, the Sun slowly crept higher and higher into the sky. It was a foggy Monday morning, quiet as well. It was nice, the silence always made me feel at home. As I approached the school, I stared at the name... Speaking softly to myself, " South Anchorage High School..."
I looked around as I saw more students begin to arrive, wonderful. Another day, filled with nothing but noisy teenagers. I slowly walked up to the high school building as I popped my ear buds in, turning Cage The Elephant on. Maybe I can drown these people out, I walked to the Café and grabbed a banana. I probably should have eaten at home but it's whatever. I walked to my locker, unlocked and grabbed my Geometry text book as well as my AP English text book. I'm a freshman yet I take more advanced classes than most seniors, funny right? They obviously don't think so.. Oh well, they'll get over it. I began walking to my first period which is Choir. God I love Choir, I love to sing but I have such terrible stage fright I'll never be able to do what I want and take up solos. As I entered class, I spotted a new face. Hmm, I wonder where he's from... I sat my stuff down and took a seat in my chair and waited for class to begin, then someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned around and realized it was the new guy, I turned my music off and took my earbuds out while looking at him, "Yes?"
He smiled, "Hey, I was wondering if I could borrow a pencil? I need one and I forgot my pencil bag in my locker." I sighed then nodded and grabbed one, handing it to him. "Thank you, Melanie!" I starred at him rather surprised, how did he know my name?
I bit my lip then spoke softly, "how in the hell do you know my name?" He chuckled, "You don't remember me, do you?" I, of course, shook my head. He smiled and handed me my pencil back, "We'll speak at lunch, okay?" I nodded then turned back around as the bell rang. Strange, I don't remember him or his face at all, I wonder where I've supposedly met him...
