I fully open the door, standing frozen in time. Jordan, who has a silver box in his warm hands, is stood outside with a present for me! A tsunami of guilt overwhelms my powerless body! I smile and gently say:
"Happy Valentines Day." He takes a deep breath and steps into our living room with his new, Jordan trainers- matches his name perfectly!
"Lucy, come here, it's important!" My mother shouts loudly
"Do excuse me." I say politely to Jordan.
Once again, thoughts of past and future of "exciting days" immediately fly to mind, Am I cursed? I question myself. Despite my negative thinking, my mother had a box of chocolates in a love heart shaped box, and a new baseball cap! Jordan plays baseball 24 seven, I like to watch him play, I feel so proud of him! I take a big sigh of relief!
"Thank you so much!" I whisper quietly.
Swiftly, I run down my carpeted stairs and shout
"Happy Valentine's Day Jordan!" Very excitedly. He laughs softly. We sit down at my dining room table and exchange our gifts with joy! Fortunately, Jordan was very happy with his gifts and in fact, he was wearing his baseball cap! I got a phone case of a picture of us two, tickets to my favourite theme park and he's taking me out for breakfast! He truly is the best boyfriend you could ever get in the world!
