It's was fifth period and the rumor settled a bit as Chelsea wasn't really the top gossip anymore. She told everyone she was over what drama had happened the very morning, but truly, she wasn't she hated Avery's guts but it couldn't be helped.
Chelsea was then brought back from her daydream as her teacher Ms.Verbone called on her.
"Chelsea, can you tell me what this equation is?" Ms.Verbone pointed at the equation on the board and Chelsea looked at the board confused.
"U-um....uh......y=mx+b?" Chelsea mumbled as surprisingly Ms.Verbone smiled.
"Yes, correct. Okay, since Chelsea had answered the question who can solve for y=mx+b?" Ms. Verbone continued her class as Chelsea sighed in relief, lucky she remembered that from ten minutes ago. Chelsea turned to her partner, who was, sadly, Eli. She poked him as he looked over to her.
"What Hoodie girl?" He whispered as Chelsea kept from killing him. She inhaled a deep breath before looking back up and poking his notebook.
"I don't understand the equation, can I borrow your notes?" She lied as she really just didn't get them as she was daydreaming. But luckily, Eli fell for it, sliding his notebook over to her real quick.
"Hurry before we get in trouble." He hissed as Chelsea quickly wrote the rest down and shoved his notebook back. Eli looked surprised as it accurately had only been five seconds and she had written everything down already, but he ignored it and went back to copying the notes and Chelsea didn't speak or look at him again for the rest of the class time.
Once the bell rang, signaling lunch, Chelsea ran out and waited in front of the lockers, hoping the class would hurry and line up. She groaned internally as she thought to herself.
"Why do we have to wait in lines? This is so childish, we're in the tenth grade!"
She sighed in relief when they were finally allowed to go and she jogged up the hallway to Mr. Akens classroom, coincidentally, her friend Serina had just walked out. She poked Serina's back to grab her attention, which it did as Serina turned around.
"Oh, Hey Chelsea. Wait...isn't your class supposed to be in the back?" Serina looked confused as she saw Chelsea's class at the end of the hallway. Chelsea shrugged.
"They were to...slow?"
The two laughed as they continued walking to the lunch room, talking about the random things that had happened in class and what they had to do.

As Chelsea sat down she noticed.
If Avery hates her so much...why does she sit with them at lunch?
Chelsea glanced over to see Avery and Kayla sit down, talking about something she couldn't hear, which she didn't care for. She turned the other way towards Serina as she walked out of the lunch line. Once Serina sat down Chelsea exhaled loudly, catching Serina's attention.
"You okay?" Serina asked as she poked at her hotdog and glanced over to Chelsea.
Chelsea shook her head, "Nothing...I'm just...tired." Chelsea leaned her head forward as she laid her head on the table, not having any strength to do anything at the time.
Serina shrugged it off, staying quiet the rest of the time they ate as Natalie and Rachel got their lunch and sat down. They ate and talked, Chelsea and Serina still quiet and Kayla and Avery not talking as much either.
After a few minutes more their table was dismissed and Chelsea walked next to Serina's side. It was quiet until they reached there normal place outside. Chelsea felt awkward and tapped Serina.
"Hey, you wannna go walk around?" She said as Serina shrugged.
"Sure." The shorter said as the two walked around and left everyone else to talk.
It was quiet for a moment until Serina began to speak.
"I think Kayla's mad at me." She said, a bit quieter than usual. Chelsea frowned.
"Why? What gives her the right to be mad at anyone? Is that why you guys have been avoiding each other?" Chelsea said as Serina shrugged once more.
"It's just...We don't talks anymore. You know, since she's always with Avery I don't get to talk to her much. So whenever I wait for them after class it's not worth it since I'm just...there. I mean, I don't wait for them anymore because she doesn't really talk to me much anymore and just...forget it." Serina said, a bit more unemotional and it made Chelsea a bit worried.
"No, don't forget it. It's okay, you can tell me. What's wrong Serina?" Chelsea said as she felt a bit worried now. This wasn't like Serina. Serina never felt sad or hurt. She never really frowned as much unless she was tired. And she's also noticed Serina hasn't been talking much either.
Serina sighed, "It's probably stupid but..."
"Just tell me." Chelsea said a bit worried. Serina didn't look over to Chelsea as they walked. But she exhaled and stuck her hands in her pocket.
"The other day on the bus when I sat with Cassy I wanted to take a photo with her, so I asked if I could, She said okay but Kayla butted in and took the photo with me. Cassy got mad so I wanted to retake it. And she said she changed her mind and Kayla said she'll take another one with me. But I said no, I wanted to take one with Cassy. But Cassy kept saying it's fine. She didn't want to anymore. So I was like, okay, sorry, never mind. Then they got quiet and were mad for some reason and I just felt like...I did something wrong and that they hate me for it..." Chelsea looked at her and noticed how much Serina felt bad. She patted her back.
"Dude, you know Kayla's always like that right? Forget it! She'll probably forget about it and say she did nothing. I'll bet on it. It's okay alright?" Chelsea said, hoping it would cheer up Serina.
Serina shook her head, "Its okay, I got my own back. I don't need fucking no one."
Chelsea paused at Serina's statement and stopped Serina, hugging her on the spot.
"Hey, don't say that again. I got your back. I, I got your back okay? Your can tell me anything. If they give you any problems you tell me, okay?" Chelsea let go of Serina as she kept the same expression on her face, but soon she smiled a bit.
"Okay, thanks."
Once the belll ran they walked inside to get their things for the next class, which luckily Serina and Chelsea had together.
