Happy birthday @/phanvidz (on instagram)!!!! I was inspired by your Davil edits and hope you enjoy!!DAN
The cold air was crisp in my lungs as I slowed down from my short jog, embarrassingly out of breath. Phil kept his pace and was soon far in front of me.
"Come on, Dan! We've only just started!" Phil whined over his shoulder.
I took a deep breath and groaned.
"Why are we exercising? Don't you know us?" I complained.
Phil smiled and walked back to me. We both stopped.
"You want to travel Europe for your birthday, we'll need some stamina."
My birthday was a few weeks away and I couldn't be more excited!
Phil and I were going to go backpacking around Europe for nearly a whole month! It was going to be so incredible and romantic. And not to mention there was going to be a YouTuber panel in our city the week of my birthday- so all of my and Phil's YouTube friends would be there to celebrate!
It was going to be the best birthday ever!
That is- if it didn't require so much damned exercise.
"But phiiiil." I whined, failing to hide my smile, "I'm laaazy."
"I know Dan," Phil chuckled, " I am too, but we need to stay somewhat healthy. I want to live a long life with you. How many more reasons do you need?" He said, stepping closer and grabbing my cheek. I felt myself blush.
"Euroupe, you? What more could I want?" I smiled, melting beneath his soft touch.
Suddenly I realized where we were. The middle of a park. I glanced around nervously.
"Ph-phil, people will see.." I whispered, my smile fading. Phil retracted his hand as his smile fell too. He looked down at my feet.
My heart sank. I hated turning him down. But I wasn't out yet- not even to my family. And if the phandom found out, it definitely wouldn't be a secret anymore. I wasn't ashamed of my relationship with Phil, I loved him with all my heart. I knew he would be the only one I would love for the rest of my life. I just didn't want either of us to be attacked for who we love. I was afraid.
"I'm sorry." Phil whispered.
I hated seeing Phil so down. And even more that I was the cause of it.
"Don't be. It's me. I'm sorry, love." I whispered in reply.
I smiled as I got an Idea. Okay! I'll cheer him up, and exercise! I slapped him on the side of the arm.
"You're it!" I shouted, taking quick steps backwards and out of his reach.
Phil jumped and looked up at me, his smile returning. This made me smile as well. He lunged forward and tapped my retreating arm. He turned and took off running. I chased him through the park. He dodged around trees and empty benches. We both laughed as I reached for him and missed, nearly tripping onto the concrete.
Finally, I tagged him, but he tagged me back immediately.
"Hey! No fair!" I shouted as he turned sharply into a field of tall grass. I sprinted after him. His adorable laugh echoed through the air as the sun began to set. My lungs started to burn. I slowed down, gasping air through my smile.
I chuckled and looked around, suddenly realizing I couldn't see Phil anymore.
He must have ducked beneath the tall grass. I breathed heavily as I scanned the grass for any hint of him. It was getting dark quickly now, I couldn't see anything.
I could see the park behind me, with street lamps lighting the paths.
I walked aimlessly for a while.
"Phil? Where have you gone?" I called, laughing even though a sinking feeling seeped into my chest. He didn't respond.
I whirled around, trying to catch my tall boyfriend ducking behind something.
Nothing.
"Phil, you cheeky sneak! Where are you?" I I chuckled, still catching my breath.
As I walked, the sky continued to darken.
"Okay, Phil, lets go home. It's getting dark!" I yelled out.
Don't shout.
I stopped dead in my tracks and twisted around.
My heart pounded when I didn't see anyone to connect to the voice I had heard. It definitely wasn't Phil's voice.
I took a deep breath. I could have sworn it was the voice of a little boy.
I turned back to my searching for Phil.
Something caught my eye at the other end of the field.
I jumped. There was a pale boy standing there. He wore thin brown clothing. His hair was matted and dirty. He looked incredibly thin.
"A-are you okay?" I called to the boy, figuring he had been the one I had heard. He only stared at me with piercing green eyes.
I glanced around, not seeing anyone else who could be responsible for the boy.
"Are you lost?" I added, turning back to the boy. But he was gone. I gasped and my heart picked up pace.
Suddenly, something cold gripped my wrist. I screamed and jumped, looking down to see the boy clamping his hand onto my wrist. He was staring into the distance as the sun dipped below the horizon.
You have someone.
The boys voice echoed in my mind, though his lips didn't move at all.
"What?" I said breathlessly.
Someone loves you. More than anyone or anything.
My heart pounded. I couldn't take my eyes off the boy. I was so confused. Who was this boy? He said someone loved me.
"Phil." I breathed out.
Suddenly, the boy looked up directly into my eyes. I jumped. The green color setting a ringing off in my head.
"Phil." He copied. This time his mouth moved. But it wasn't his voice that came out.
It was mine.
My eyes widened as the boys grip got tighter around my wrist, tearing into my skin.
I tried to call out for Phil, but my mouth wouldn't listen. I couldn't move at all. I couldn't even look away from the boys eyes as the piercing green was slowly replaced with solid black. Like goo oozing into his eyes.
He began growing taller, his light brown hair darkening and growing. My eyes stayed locked with his until I was no longer staring at a young boy- but an exact reflection of myself. With solid black eyes.
Black began to fill my vision. All I could feel was pain.
I felt empty. A voice that was strangely mine filled my ears, scraping like nails on a chalkboard.
You will pay
I will play
Phil is mine
Forever and a dayAnd as the sickening tune faded, so did my senses. Finally, I crumpled to the ground. Strange feelings were sharp inside me.
Pain.
Emptiness.
Fear.
And jealousy.
