Rin follows him for a while and he doesn't even seem to notice. Huh. It's clear the man in front of him has absolutely no idea where he's going. Rin supposes he may as well help, although at this point, it may be more productive to use this to his advantage. Either way, he needs to point him in at least a direction. Maybe it will be the right one, maybe it won't. "Do you even know where you're trying to go?"

Seth's head whips around and he seems surprised, "Uh. A park."

"A park?" Rin echoes. It wasn't the response he expected to hear. Home or a hotel would make more sense. "Why do you want to go to a park at 1 in the morning?" "There's swings. And trees. I don't have anywhere better to go."

Rin takes a moment to process this before deciding that watching this strange man's little adventure may actually be entertaining enough to refuse the meal in front of his face. "Well I hope you know you are travelling in the exact opposite direction of the closest one. At least right now you are. A few minutes ago before the turn, you were almost facing the right way. My name is Rin. I'd be happy to take you there."

With the war between families going on, Rin should probably use a name other than his own, but he doubts Seth would have any part in it. He's not as calm in that stiff manner he's used to seeing and showing, himself. A nearly constant poker face, with emotion only being used around those he is extremely close to. Not even his own family a lot of the time.

Then this man gets even stranger as he nods.

Did Rin underestimate him? Is this guy that desperate to get to the park? Or is he just an idiot?

Following strangers at 1 in the morning is typically not the smartest nor safest thing to do. Especially since Rin knows vampires, especially those as pure as he is, have a sort of effect on people. The want to please, often mistaken for love at first sight. It appears in fiction and Rin has always found it amusing that it was true... just perhaps a little bit unfortunate that someone searching for their other half may find themselves drained quite literally by the sad one way attraction that is far too common. Is Seth suffering from this? Surely he is smarter than that. Most are more cautious.

This could be a trap, but Rin is curious of how this will go.

Rin does take him to the park. It's probably not the smartest choice since it could be a trap and he could get an easy, much needed meal. What's done is done. The man collapses on his back in the grass and Rin watches, somewhat amused. "So why are you out this late?" "Just got out of the hospital." "And you decide to go to a park? Why not home?" "If you want to show me where home is, feel free, because I wouldn't know it if I saw it."

Rin frowns. Maybe he's more complicated than he gave him credit for. His story may actually be worth watching. "You can always stay with me." "No thanks. That's creepy."

Hearing that almost makes Rin change his mind, becoming more than a little bit annoyed. "So now I'm creepy? Hmm. Maybe you should have thought of that before you followed me here!"

He gets no response, and he's about to simply sit down and end this conversation in a far more productive way, but then he sees movement. He freezes, eyes narrowing as he looks towards where he had seen it. There's someone there, and based on the fact that they aren't appearing, they aren't here to say hi.

Oh well. Looks like it's time to go. Rin doesn't waste any more time, using the crucial bit of time he may or may not need to get out of there before there is even a chase to take part in.
