Hello, Friend

"How was the homework last night?" Felix asked.

"What homework?" I exclaimed slightly sarcastic, only because I did know we had some algebra homework I just didn't do it. Oops.

"You didn't do it, did you?" He sighed, totally done with my shit. I put on my most flirtatious but sarcastic smile and batted my eyelashes as I replied "Ooh you know me so well!" in a sickly sweet voice. We both just laughed it off and jabbered on about pointless shit usually consisting of ranting about school or bands.

The bus tuned into the school's drop off section and let us off a few yard from the school. Kids filed off the bus and through the double doors. The cluster of kids split in two, me and Felix followed one half down to the café.

We were welcomed by Kelsey, Lina and Alyia who where all huddled around the second table from the door (our usual seat), along with a group of ninth graders.

"Anyone do the homework?" I declared as I walked up to Kelsey and took a sip of her water bottle that she held in her hand. There was no time before someone wrapped their arm around my waist and whispered "Hello, Friend." into my ear in a sweet voice

I turned around to see none other than Joslyn Joy in front of me; my girlfriend. She was absolutely stunning to me but probably just an average girl to any untrained eye. She had long, light brown hair, big doe eyes that glistened in the artificial cafeteria light. Joslyn was perfect in every way, from her shirt (which always fit perfectly) to her high class shoes. The only problem was that she insisted on wanting to go public with our relationship while I was still basically as far in the closet as they come.

She pushed her face into mine so that our noses bonked together and smiled a sinister but lovely smile that I had gotten used to over the last few months.

"I did the homework." She said, her minty breath dusted over my slightly ajar lips. All I could do was nod and stare even more intently at her deep hazel eyes.

Felix and Kelsey where the only ones still watching, I could tell because they burst into a fit of uncontrollable laughter but all of the other noses where drowned out when she took my trembling hand in hers, kissed my flushed cheek and pulled me out of my daze and over the table.
