Zayn was the first to think of a way out. It wasn't something extraordinary but at least they had a car with us, providing them the much needed shelter. All they had to do was stay hidden and thankfully he had thought beforehand to get the windows bullet proofed. The only problem was managing to get to the airport without being stopped or worse - killed in the way.
"Get inside the car," Zayn instructed, composing himself after the entire ordeal. It was frustrating that they weren't even halfway through the plan and already one of them had been killed but they should have seen it coming. They should've all been careful since they were dealing with a mafia king.
"What about Harry?" Louis asked, eyes widened as he watched Liam take Niall away from the corpse, in the direction of the car.
"We can't take him with us. We have to change cars before we arrive at the airport."
"So we're just going to leave him here?" Louis scoffed.
"What else do you suggest?"
"I suggest giving up. Let's just fucking surrender. It's not as if we had a chance against him anyways. He's too powerful and strong for just the three of us."
"Four," Zayn corrected, glancing at the car. For the first time he regretted not getting a high power sports car and rather going for something steady and old, the non-suspicious kind.
"As if Niall can fight."
"Yeah well whatever. We're wasting our time arguing. Let's just get a move on, please."
"I'm not leaving without Harry," the feathery brunette mumbled firmly, his voice holding no room for arguments.
"Louis, it's not that I don't want to take him along and give him a proper funeral but you know that if we keep on tagging him with us, it's going to cost us too much time and we'll all get killed in the process."
"Why can't we stop at a place, just for one day and give him a proper goodbye?" Louis argued, his blue eyes showing nothing but guilt and sadness. Zayn knew that it must be hard for the brunette, to deal with the loss of his best mate but he had to understand where the Pakistani was coming from. To carry a body around and purposely stop at a safe location would be equivalent to committing suicide. Justin was already after them and Zayn had used every last bit of his money to get plane tickets, living arrangements and cars booked for them.
"We can't do that Louis and even you know that. Stop being stubborn," Zayn whispered, reaching out to grab the smaller man by the arms. He brought the brunette's body closer to his, wrapping him in a tight hug. "I'm sorry," Zayn whispered slowly, parting away from the smaller man's grip. "I'll call Mark out to take care of Harry and to make sure that Gemma and Anne are provided for after everything. Don't worry okay? Everything is going to be fine."
"Is it really though? We've got god knows how many people chasing after this and only one and half hour to decide whether we're going to live or die," Louis scoffed, shaking his head before grabbing his gun from the flower. He reached out for Harry's body, getting the gun out from his hand and ruffled the curly brunette's hair up. "I'm going to miss you curly," the smaller man spoke softly, as if afraid to wake Harry up from his slumber before adjusting the guns in the waistband of his jeans and walking out with Zayn falling behind him.
....
Justin smirked at the scene before his eyes. All his men had been carefully planted across the area, in the most inconspicuous manner possible. He smiled easily at his men who bowed their head in submission and respect when they saw him coming. It was pleasant to know that he had such a control over people. That they would cower in fear at the mere sight of him and it was sad that Harry and his bunch of friends could think that running away from him was going to be easy.
