You won't understand,
You won't know the pain,
I tried explaining it,
But the pain won't go away,
I watched them suffer,
I was there when they cried,
Never had I guessed,
Cancer would take my family's life,
I know I can't feel their agony,
I know I won't understand this tragedy,
But at least I can show them,
I'll stand by them through this misery,
This unshaven pain,
Seeing all their hair gone,
For all the cancer patients,
I made myself bald,
My grandmother, first woe,
My grandfather, second woe,
My uncle, third woe,
Who will be the next to go?
An unshaven pain,
Someday I might understand,
Until then I'll show awareness,
To what some people can't understand.
