Chapter 2

Camila's Pov

"Goodbye!" I yelled to my parents as I walked out the door. My school is just a couple blocks away, so I have to walk to school for now on. I put in my earphones and started to listen to my favorite bands. I might look small and sweet, but my taste in music is something you wouldn't imagine. Pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens, any band really. I finally got to school, put my phone and earphones in my book bag, took a deep breathe and walked in. I walked to the principal office and got my schedule for the year. I walked to my first class which was English. I sat in the back corner of the room and tried my best to pay attention to the teacher, but I always ended up focusing on the rest of the kids in the room. All the girls were super pretty, even though all of dressed like sluts. I didn't find any of the boys attractive, but who would I care. I'm a lesbian. Well, I'm bi. I never had a boyfriend, or girlfriend, but I had a crush on both genders. That makes me bi, right? I don't really care, though. No one would actually like me. A girl with scars. My thoughts were interrupted when the bell rang. Meaning to make your way to your next class.

My next few classes were Geometry, History, and Science. Those classes flew by quickly. I did the same in all classes, check the people out. I haven't found anyone that caught my eye yet. I just sat in the back of the class not paying attention. Then the familiar bell rang again, meaning going to your next class. Well I had lunch next so I made my way downstairs to the cafeteria. My last teacher I had helped me out with my schedule telling me where to go. I stood outside the cafeteria for a couple minutes and thought about my old school. The cafeteria is where most of the bullying took place. Food in my hair, throwing my lunch in the garbage can. I shook myself back into reality and finally walked into the cafeteria. I was so insecure in front of everyone. I walked and stared at the floor. I got in line for my food, and eventually paid. I looked around the cafeteria for an empty table. My eyes fell on one in the back corner and I walked back and sat down. I was used to sitting alone so I always had my book with my to read when I was done eating. I scanned the cafeteria and I could tell that this high school was also labeled. In the front was the jocks, they had varsity jackets on. Next to them were the cheerleaders, along with the popular kids. Then towards the back were a lot of kids just like me. The difference between my old school and here is that I don't think there was anything called a 'loser' there was just popular people and the normal people. A few tables down were three really pretty girls. I caught one of them staring at me, she was really short with long light brown hair. She gave me a shy smile and then she started to talk with her friends. I then saw the three girls I've been caught staring at walk over to my table. "Here we go.." I said to myself. This is where I get told off. Where I get told to stop staring, this is where the bullying is going to begin. The three girls sat down at my table. "Hi, hopefully we're not bothering you. I saw you sitting down here by yourself so I thought we might join you!" The small girl said in a really peppy voice. "N-No you aren't bothering me at all. My.. My names Camila." I said shaking. My anxiety has taking over my body. "I'm ally," the small girl said, "and this is Dinah, she said pointing to a tall girl that smiled and said, "Whatsup!" She said with enthusiasm. "And that's Normani." The younger girl continued and pointed to the girl to her left. Normani gave me a shy wave. "We also have another person that we hang out with, she seems to be running late but she'll be here soon." She said and I gave her a nod meaning 'okay.'

Lauren's Pov

I run down the steps of the school that lead to the cafeteria. "Shit!" I say. The girls probably are worried I'm not there. I'm never late. They can't know that my teacher kept me after and told my that she's thinking of getting me a tutor. I'm not the best in school but I don't need a tutor! I got my food and scanned the cafeteria. The girls weren't sitting at there regular table. I then saw three familiar faces waving me over to a table in the corner. I smiled and walked over to them and I saw a non-familiar face sitting across from them. "Lauren, this is Camila." Ally said pointing to the girl sitting across from them.
