Chapter 3: Save You

( on a bench beneath the sugar cane area, 1 pm )

The words of Dianne was vey unexpected when she said she was pregnant to Crain. I don't know what reaction will lead her when Anton and Sir Alfred knows about this.

" Zoey, please don't tell anyone about this... Not Anton or Sir Alfred.. Please Zoey." Dianne beg for mercy.

" Why?"

"Because......." Dianne stopped as her eyes looked at the ground and shed  tears."Beacause I know you have the courage to stand up to any one. We're still best friends, right?"

" It was a long time ago. And everyone of you all have destroyed my life since Sir Alfred brought me here and treated me like his own child." I cried. " But since you and Crain and everyone else, blackmailed me so that I can suffer much more you all have. And now, I got no one else ever since every one of you all hated me!"

I so furious about this conversation....

It's like it put me again from my sorrow past.

Dianne cried like a little girl that lost her doll.

"What else I can do??" She was definitely scared about what's gonna happen after.

"Tell them the truth." I said.

"NO!" She denied as she begin to walk away holding her stomach both hands. 

My conscience made me feel anxious about this situation.... I turned around and followed her.

 " Dianne! wait!"

"Wait a second"

"Dianne?"

Lost in the middle of the sugarcane area where tall plants grow... I can't see her anywhere as I struggle to move the plants on my way..

"Dianne!" I shout.

As the heat of the sun keeps  rising the hot temperature.... It blurred my sight.

I hope no one else find out about Dianne.

I search for Dianne this whole afternoon but I could not find her.

Until its already 5 pm as the sun sets unto the horizon that covered with tall green trees. As the dark rises up and scattered everywhere.

           I heard that Sir Alfred was giving the guards a strict rules again about no one must go out into the plantation at night for they will send blood hound dogs to secure the plantation.

But what about Dianne she's still not here.

As I wait in the dirty kitchen behind of the main mansion pretending to wash the dishes, waiting for the guards to move. As I was beginning to escape, suddenly somebody caught my arm tight as he force us to hid in the tall bushy grasses and shrub.

I struggle to move his hand covering my mouth. And I can feel that he's covered with cold wet mud all over his body.

"Shhhh!!!" He whispered.

The voice seems to be familliar.

Then the dark shadows of the dogs were getting closer as he push me closer to mud that covered him. I so afraid about what will happen if one of the dogs find us or worse.....

 I tried to struggle to escape that is the only thing I can think of. I tried to escape everything I can do --- kicking, biting, punching, forcing my self to escape but he's too strong..

"Shhhhhh.......... be still" he whispered.
