I rub my temples trying to rub away the throbbing. I stand up and make my way to the kitchen. I dig through the pantries. In the middle of pouring some Coco Pebbles, I hear a thump. I lift my head up and look around.
"Hunter?" I shout, peering around the corner. I can hear the shower running. Maybe he can't hear me. I should probably go check on him.
I set the cereal down on the counter and pad my way over to the bathroom. I lightly knock on the door. "Hunt?" No answer.
I push the door open slightly. The sound of the water running becomes louder as I take a step inside. There's steam on the mirror and on the glass of the shower. I take another step and can see a hand on the tile. My eyes follow the hand and see Hunter, on the floor, out cold.
"Hunter!"
I run to the shower and pull the glass door open. I reach in and turn off the water, then I kneel next to his head. The hems of my shorts get wet, but I pay no attention to that. I push his wet hair out of his face and wipe the water away. "Hunter?" i say softly, running a finger across his cheek. "Can you hear me?" There's a groan in response.
My eyes travel down his body, admiring the muscle. I notice his scars and my eyebrows bunch together in confusion. I hadn't ever noticed them before. I continue to look, then blush bright red. Oh yeah. He's naked. I quickly focus back on his face. "Let's get you out of here." I tell him, standing up.
I grab underneath his arms and pull him from the shower. I lay him down gently then go get some towels and my blow drier. I plug the drier in and sit cross legged on the floor. I drape a towel over his lower body, then pull his head into my lap. I gently towel dry his upper body and face and rub it through his hair a bit. Then I turn on the blow drier and work on drying his hair.
His breathing remains steady, so i just continue to dry him off, waiting for him to wake up.
