~ I don't like walking around this old and empty house

So hold my hand, I'll walk with you, my dear

The stairs creak as you sleep, it's keeping me awake

It's the house telling you to close your eyes ~

----

It is better to be hated than to be forgotten.

And being the unluckiest person in the universe, both of these happened to me at the same effin’ time.

I am hated… and forgotten… by the utmost love of my existence.

I saw her walking alone that morning at the school hallway. She hasn’t texted me since Friday and it bothers me because she’s the kind of person that fancies texting someone than to receive a text for her.

“Hey—“before I could finish my sentence, she walked past by me… without even looking at me in the eyes!

It’s like she didn’t see me… it’s like nothing happened between the two of us in her car last Friday night.

I stopped walking, recalling if I’ve done something stupid to her over the weekend. Nah. As far as I know, I haven’t done anything. I texted her “Good morning” last Saturday, and then when she didn’t reply I texted her “’Sup?” but then I still got no reply, so I stopped bugging her and just texted her that night “Good night”. The next day, I’ve done the same thing; still, no reply.

I ignored it, thinking that she’s just having that thing girls get every month.

But then Lunch came…

“Get out of my way,” she mumbled, looking down at her tray as I stood in front of her to stop her from walking.

“Emma,” I started; my throat dry. I swallowed hard before forcing a fake laugh. “Ok. If this is a prank, I congratulate you. You won this time.”

I always play pranks on her since, like, forever. I don’t even know if ‘forever’ is the right term because we’ve known each other for a long time and I think describing it like that is underrated.

She stared at me blankly. Then slowly, she droop her head at the side, looking like an abused Barbie doll.

The blankness in her eyes was so creepy. A cold tingle ran behind my neck and filled my ears.

It’s like she’s Emma but at the same time, she’s not. Like a whole different person was trapped inside her body; and it’s starting to rip me into pieces… and shred me… and kill me.

She turned her head back to normal position after examining my face.

“Emma?” I said again. “If I did something wrong,” I held her wrists with my hands, then I slowly slide them up to her shoulders. “I’m sorry ok?” Then I ran my thumbs on her collar bones. She loves it whenever I do that. And usually, an ultimate make-out session will come after that. But today is different.

Nothing happened.

Not even a single spark.

She continued staring at me with those blank blue eyes; the eyes of an angel, the color of the sky. I wanted to kiss her right now for things to get back to normal. But before I could move from where I am standing, she said it; the three words that almost knocked me unconscious:
