My Brothers Best Friend

Chapter one

Sage's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring demanding I wake up. I roll out of bed sleepily while muttering a little.

"Sage! Come help me move this box!" My brother Alex yelled.

"Coming!" I groaned as I pulled on some pants. We just moved into a new house and I hate it. The house is great and all but I just don't want to be the new kid again. I walked downstairs to go help Alex when there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" I yelled as I read to the door. I opened the door to find the cutest guy I've seen in my entire life. He looked like he was at least 6'3" to my size of 5'5", he had amazing green eyes like the Amazon after a storm. He had the cutest freckles right beneath his eyes and dotting along the bridge of his nose. He had perfect clear brown skin, I nearly started drooling when I realized I had been staring.

"Sorry," I said "I just zoned out for a little" I said trying to play it cool. "So who are you?" I asked watching him closely.

"My name is Evan, I'm your neighbor," he said pointing to the house next door. "And who might you be?" He asked raising a brow.

"I'm Sage, Sage Frost. I don't mean to be ride but, why are you here? Do you need something?" I asked making eye contact until he looked away and said,

"Just meeting and making new friends. So, do you have siblings or pets?" He asked while eyeing me up and down like a predator stalking it's prey.

"Yes," I finally replied, "I have a brother and a dog." I was just about to close the door when my dog Kingston ran out from behind me and started barking at Evan. "King! No! Bad dog! Alex!!!" I yelled for my brother to come get the dog before we don't have a new cute neighbor anymore. My brother came running down the hall and grabbed the dog.

"Sage! Why did you let him out and who is this?!?" My brother yelled looking furious as a bull. I was afraid he was going to charge at me when have cut in and said,

"She didn't, the dog ran out and I'm Evan by the way. You must be her brother Alex..." He said putting out a hand.

Alex's POV

I looked at Evan's hand quizzically before shaking it work my free hand.

"Nice to meet you Evan, I see you have met my sister... Ignore her, she's annoying." I said cracking a smile just before Sage yelled,

" Am not!!" She said storming up the stairs to her room.

"Sorry, sisters you know? Luckily I only have one." I said chuckling a little.

"I know the feeling, I have an older sister named Lilly." Evan said with a smile. "She is visiting for a little because she moved out a few months ago so she is staying with us for Thanksgiving." Have said with a sort of loathing time of voice. "Well I gotta go so bye!" Evan yelled as he ran back to his house.
