Honey's POV🌸
I finished putting up my portrait of my 2 sisters and I up on my wall. I looked around my room smiling mentally to my successful room decorating.
I currently just moved back to the Harlem, NYC. Same Apartment building too. I went to the living room to see my sister's on the couch watching TV. Seeing them makes my world. They seen me walking to the kitchen and followed behind me. My sisters, Hennessey & Melenna. They so annoying, but I understand why they follow me around so much. They look up to me because my mom is just not the best of Moms..... "I'm making Dinner."I said while pulling out the chicken.
"What're we having?" Melenna asked me.
"Baked Chicken and Some vegetables."
"How about we take the vegetables out????" Hennessey said all sassy like. "How about No?" I said back. "Fine." She said pouting. I cleaned, seasoned, and put the chicken in the oven. "Put y'all shoes on, we going to the store real quick." They ran into there rooms and Melenna came out with her Jordans on and Hennessey comes out with some Nike slides on. I grabbed my keys and my wallet before leaving the house.
I ignored the cat calls when suddenly I see Ms. Jones. OG Grandma of the neighborhood . "Ms. Jones!!" She looked from her little chair in the middle of buildings with the test of the old heads. She looked around, "Honey is that you!?! OMGGGG LOOK AT YOU! YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL" we met each other with a hug. She looked down at Melenna and Hennessey. Melenna was behind me being shy while Hennessey was smiling and asking who she was. Two different people. "These the two kitties...oh I remember when they was so young... What brings you back here."
"Momma...." I said in one word. She stopped and looked at me, thinking the same thing. "You know I'm always here sweetie." I nodded, "I know ms.Jones, lemme go I gotta go get stuff to make the vegetables." She nodded and we gave each other one last hug before going our separate ways.
Walking back from the store, I seen someone leaving one of the buildings on the phone Screaming and cursing on the phone. I know that voice from anywhere.... "-oney my feet hurtttt" Melenna whined. I stopped to pick her up and Hennessey held my hand swinging our hands back and forth as she tried to not walk on the "lines of lava"
"Sissy help me" I was walking and pulling her up as she jumped over the lines. I couldn't help but laugh at her...seeing them smile make my day. That person abruptly stopped shouting, so I looked up and she was watching my EVERY MOVE.
I gulped and continued to walk as if I didnt see her and help Hennessey win her little game.
Getting back to the apartment, I checked on the chicken and made the vegetables. As the food was cooking ,I sat down and connected my phone to my beats pill. While Playing my Drake playlist, I gave Melenna a bath and washed her hair... After that, I helped moisturize her body and put on her favorite PJs. I did her hair by sectioning her hair into 4 parts and moisturizing each section then putting her hair in two braids. Before I could get to Hennessey my alarm went off to turn the fire off on the vegetables.I made our plates and sat on the couch eating and Watching Ice Age on Netflix.
Soon enough it was 8:00 and I was just finishing Hennessey's hair and putting them to bed because if i don't, they'll simply wait till I go to sleep to come sleep with me in my bed. I sat down and looked at the time reading 8:57, sighed to myself knowing I have to get up again and fill out both of the emergency sheets and pack their bags for tomorrow. We all start school tomorrow.
I was finally able to lay down in my bed and just as I closed my eyes, I hear my mother walking into the house with some Man. I attempted to go to sleep, but walls are thin...I sucked my teeth knowing
I won't be getting almost any sleep tonight. At least Melenna and Hennessey will... They're room is after mine and the bathroom.
Michelle POV
I woke up to my mom hollering from the doorway. I sucked my teeth because I do not wanna get up. I unlocked my phone and went on Facebook. The first thing I see is this chick names Erica getting exposed...these niggas is out of control. its to early for this. I finally got up getting my towel and going into the bathroom to turn on the shower. I hopped in the shower with only thing on my mind... Honey
Why is she here?
Is she visiting?
Is she staying?
Is she by herself?
Why she move back here?
I got out the shower and brushed my teeth before drying off and moisturizing my body. I put on some ripped jeans and a plain white T-shirt with my sneakers .College isn't like high school so I wonder how this'll go.
I grabbed my my bookbag, headphones, phone, and keys before leaving.
