Honey POV
I had gotten my chips, a sandwich, and some starburst for the annoying kitties. She was limping bad and I kept wondering the many options of what the freak she could of went through.
I got to my apartment and opened the door, letting it close behind us, I sat down Michelle who was sniffling and in the light looked worst. I locked the door and I scurried to the kitchen to grab an ice-pack out the freezer and going into the living room. She looked at me crazy, "Relax, it won't hurt." I squatted down to the couch's level and she was holding her breath, she closed her eyes while I inched my hand to her face. The icepack touched her face and she squeezed her eyes tighter and grabbed onto my wrist. "relax." The grip on my wrist loosened a Lil, while she opened her eyes. She was holding back tears and I felt bad for her. "I'm s-sorry." She averted her gaze to elsewhere. "It's not your fault....it's not a problem either." I switched sides with the icepack and she held onto it. I got her something to drink before going to the linen closet to get her a towel and washrag. "Come...come take a shower." She followed me to the bathroom and I set the stuff on the toilet seat before turning on the shower for her. I left the bathroom and went to the kitchen and heated up some of tonight's dinner in the oven. She came out to the kitchen, "do you have clothes I can fit?" I nodded before walking to my room with her right behind me. I pulled out some basketball shorts that I rarely wear because they are really big on me and my Nike shirt, that is actually hers, "I was looking for this shirt for so long......" I chuckled before throwing the deodorant and coco butter onto my bed for her. "When you're done come get your food." She nodded and I had just closed the door when I heard little footsteps coming towards me. Melenna was walking towards me with her bear in hand. "What are you doing up?" She was rubbing her eyes, "I smelled food." Giggling her life away, I shook my head...she's a handful. I began walking her back to her room when Michelle came out the room.
"Hello.....you're pretty." She tried to walk towards Michelle. Michelle smiled, "Thank you."
I finally got Melenna back to sleep and I went to my room to Michelle laying down on my bed. I layed down next to her and rubbed her back.....
Michelle POV
I heard an alarm going off and I turned around trying to get comfortable. I was facing Honey and she looked peaceful in her sleep. It was cute. I felt around for her phone and turning off the alarm. I shook Honey awake, but she groaned and turned over. I was just about to tap her when she sat up. "I'm not going to school today." She left the room and I heard the shower run and little voices laughing. I sighed and layed back down thinking about yesterday's events. And to think that she hated me.....
The lights turned on and she put on some sweats and slid her slides on and grabbed her keys, "I'll be back." She left after turning off the lights.
Khadijah POV
I was taking the kitties to school, when I heard Ms.Jones Call my name. I put the kids in the car and locked the doors before meeting Ms. Jones halfway, "Everything alright?" "Yeah I guess." "Mmm. Thats good." As we were talking we heard a guy screaming at this woman. I looked to see it was Michelle's parents. I looked at Ms. Jones and she had a disgusted facial expression stuck to her face. "I dont care, GO FIND HER!!!" I side eyed them and Ms. Jones mumbled something under her breath. She looked at me one last time before walking up to them. "What's the problem, Dianne?" She stopped yelling at her husband, "Uh umm Michelle went out last night and never came back." Ms. Jones shook her head, "I'll let you know of I see her."
I came back after dropping off the kids and I wanted to know what happened to Michelle. Its weird, she's never been like this before. She was in my room still sleeping. I wanted to wake her to eat but it seemed stupid. I took my shoes off and layed back down on my side of the bed. two minutes didn't pass until I heard banging on my door. I sighed getting up out my bed and to the door.
It was Michelle's parents and another man. I stepped away from the door lightly and I turned around to see Michelle behind me she was about to open her mouth but I covered her mouth. She got the hint and she lightly walked back to the room. I stood there waiting to hear the footsteps leave yet I heard ms. Jones big mouth, "What ch'all doin' at my friends house? Marina don't know y'all folks..." the hint of confusion was clear in her voice. "Oh uh I thought Erica and her kids lived here." The woman I'm guessing who is Dianne responded awkwardly. "No sweetheart, Marina live there...I was just in her house yesterday... Now will y'all excuse me I have to get my numbers from her..."
I heard footsteps leaving and a knock on the door after a couple of minutes went by. I answered knowing it was ms. Jones.
Michelle POV
I heard Honey greet someone into the house so I looked through the creek of the door to see Ms. Jones standing in front of her. I sighed in relief and Opened the door. Ms.Jones seen my face and she covered her mouth... Yes i know I look bad but damn! "Lord give me strength." she said dramatically as Honey looked quite confused on what's going on....I dont even know if ms.
Jones knows honestly...
She sat down on the couch and we soon followed also. She looked at me for a second, "you know, I heard what happened last night.... Your mother should be ashamed of herself and I want you to know, you will not have to worry about going back to the hell hole..." I felt tears coming to my eyes "-Im still lost...." I wiped my eyes and I looked at her, "Last night my mom....
