Now, it may be considered an AU of Undertale (like everything in fanfiction, I think), but it doesn't have a name. So, you could say… It’s just a world that should have never existed.

A long time ago, two races ruled over the Earth: humans and monsters.

There was once an age in which both races lived in peace and like equals, sharing the gift of magic and the power of souls.

One day, however, a war broke out…

So many lives of monsters were lost in battle; it required a high amount to just face a single human, who, with the power of their determination, were able to keep fighting, even when they were surrounded and at the sharp of death. Meanwhile, the number of fighting monsters keeps decreasing.

Slowly, the monsters were forced to retreat to the mountains, where they currently had their camp.

They were at a great disadvantage in this war…

But, despite it all, you could heard the laughter of children through those woods.

Long before this long battle had started, the prince from that time was engaged with a young girl from a noble family. Once the old ruler died, they ascended to the throne. Years later, their son would born, who was still a child starting to live when the war broke out. Since then, the Royal Family had witnessed the pain, sacrifice and despair of their people.

However, he keeps hoping...

The monsters were on their darkest hour.

That day, one of the human’s most powerful sorcerers made a visit to the king of monsters.

—What do you seek here?—, have questioned the king at the time.

—I came here to warn you—, was the answer from the human. —Our army is approaching with all their might, with the single purpose to exterminate until the last monster.

The king’s blood turns cold after hearing the sorcerer's words.

—The council have concluded that neither of the two sides could keeps prolonging this fight, so they have chose to end it, once and for all.
