The day ended with Love Song by Bumkey sung by Baekhyun. The song gave me chills to the spine. The melody just had this melancholy feel to it.

"Noona" Kyungsoo voiced.

From lost in my own world feeling the song, I looked up at the boy.

"Yes?"

"Everything's going to be okay. We're here for you"

I looked around. All of them were giving me supporting expressions and nods. It was then, where I felt immensely accepted by them. None of it mattered, but their support.

I managed a smile for them. But what really bothered me was that I couldn't seem to figure out if being in a relationship with Kim Jongin aka KAI was a wise move. If let's say, something unfortunate happens and I have to leave him... what happens then?

And Chanyeol. He must've really liked me. His angry expression has been bothering me for a while now. Of course it would be selfish of me to request him to smile, even when he's not in the mood to do it. But I really miss that happy virus side of him.

Luhan gave me a little shoulder squeeze before packing up his belongings.

After that, we all left the studio. I suggested we get red bean desserts while waiting for the rest to finish practice, and that's what we did.

The vibe was good until the dance group walked in on us.

Because I sat in the middle of Baekhyun and Chen, Kai sat at the other side of the table. So did Chanyeol. Both were avoiding my eyes, I could tell. Then they got up and bought themselves a dessert each of their choice.

*My ringtone of FT Island's Madly played*

I rummaged through my bag and finally fished out the phone to answer it. It was my uncle. I decided to take the call outside to speak comfortably.

"Are you busy?"

"I'm just having dessert with the boys. Why?"

"Can you see me for a while?"

"Ohh alright. I'll get there in half an hour" I ended.

I went back in to inform the boys that I was leaving for a while but I didn't mention the reason because I didn't want them to panic at the name of their boss.

"Arraso noona. See you then!" Tao waved and happily diverted his attention back to his dessert.

I waved and made my way to my Uncle.

"Do you know why I called you here?" He voiced.

"No, not really.. no. What's up?" I asked.

"Look, I'll get straight to the point. You're dating Kai, aren't you?"

"Uh.. no. I mean.. maybe. Yes."

"Look, I won't put the blame on you. But things will get difficult if people find out, and you're MY niece."he said. "This is just a phase for you. You'll break up, and there's nothing for you to remember anyway. So why not..... you guys just break up?"

"Uncle!" I raised my voiced.

He kept silent.

"I'll leave him, once my contract ends." I couldn't believe I just said that.

"Promise?"

"I promise"

I didn't really mean that promise, obviously. I just did it to stall some time and get away from him. He's probably going to feed me a million and one reasons why I should break up with Kai.

I went back to the dorm. Probably looking as shitty as ever.

"You're back. Where did you go anyway?" Kris asked.

I was going to answer him but I stopped and thought for a second.

"I went to the mall for awhile"

"You did? Did you buy anything?" Lay asked.

"No, I just went to survey some necklaces. Wanted to buy it for someone" a quick lie I came up with.

"Oh..are you sure it's not a hint for Kai to get you something?" Lay joked.

"That cheapskate? He wouldn't get it for me in a million years!" I joked and walked away.

Kai POV:

"Mworagu?! Cheapskate?!" I yelled but she probably already walked away to hear me.

"Yah Kai.. you should get her something for being your girlfriend." Luhan advised.

"She should get me something for letting her be my girlfriend..haha" I joked.

And then I thought. Should I get her something? A necklace.. or a ring! No. That's too much. A necklace is just right. A mark to let people know she's taken.

And that's what I did.

A silver, pendant necklace in the shape of a musical note. I guess it was because both of us were into music, it was a special symbol.

The night came, I walked into her room. She was busy on the laptop, just watching some YouTube videos. I crept closer to her, she didn't even realise I was inside.

I slowly wrapped the necklace around the circumference of her neck and hugged her. She seemed taken aback by my action but smiled as soon as she met my eyes.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes. I like it a lot! You have no idea how much I-"

*Katalk~*

"Who is it?"

"Oh it's Krystal"

"Krystal Jung? Why? What does she want?" she asked, flustered.

"Don't get all jealous please. We're just close friends. She wants to talk to me. I'll come by again later okay Hyerin? Go to sleep first" I said and called Krystal.

"Hey! How are you?"

Hyerin's POV:

Krystal of all people?

I squeezed the pendant of the necklace tight and tried to fall asleep. But I didn't. I sneaked out to eavesdrop on his phone conversation. It's like he doesn't even care if I would hear him. He talked in a normal voice, not even trying to hide the fact that he was happy talking to her.

"Oppa, it's late.." I voiced, trying to keep my volume a little lower.

He signalled for me to sleep first.

Right that moment, I fumed up. I walked to him and grabbed the phone and ended the call.

"Yah! Mitchoso(are you crazy)?!" he yelled, trying to reach for his phone.

"I'm not giving it back until tomorrow. You need to sleep Kim Jongin."

"What are you? My MOM?! Even my mom doesn't act as immature as you"he said in defense, still reaching for his phone.

"Why is talking to her so important this late? Did you forget something Kim Jongin? I'M your girlfriend. Remember? Ring a bell?!"

He looked defeated.

"If this is what you're gonna do as my girlfriend, ..... I'd rather not"

That's right. He said it. To my face.

Kim Jongin broke up with me.

I wondered for a second. What was my next move? Beg him not to because I still want to be with him or.. do what he wants.

I swallowed every bit of courage I had and let him have his phone back. What's the point of keeping it?

"I'm sorry"

I walked away. Like every other normal girl in that situation, I hoped for his hands to grasp my arm and pull me back. But he never did. The only thing I heard after that was the door open and shut loudly. Shaking my bedroom door. All I could think about that night was if it was real. If all of it was real. It's hard to accept, but it most definitely WAS.
