After being stranded on that god forsaken island for three months, my supplies starting dwindling. My food and water was scarce. After searching the forest for more supplies, I realized that I had used them all. Nothing had grown back yet. The only other option I had was the beach. A place that I had avoided in all the time I was here. Ive only been there once, when the water washed me ashore. Now, I had no choice. I had to ignore the terrible feeling in my gut about the beach. As my steps took me closer, the feeling grew until finally, it got to where it was so big it could swallow me. My steps got slower and more shaky. I was terrified of the water, terrified that it'd swallow me up, like it once did. I was lucky to survive, but it left me broken. The guilt I felt everyday was overwhelming. However, nothing compared to the fear I felt of the water.
I wanted the ground to swallow me up, but I needed to do this. I needed to survive this. I needed to live.
I forced myself to walk. I had finally reached the end of the forest. Looking down at the beautiful white sand, I swallowed my fear and walked toward the water. Today, I would be fishing as well as conquering my fear. Or at least trying.
I was so caught up in trying out my spear, that I didn't realize two men had snuck up behind me. I did notice, however, when they grabbed my arms. I screamed, startled. I started thrashing, trying to get free, but they were strong. They walked and drug me with them.
As I continued thrashing, they grew impatient. Until finally, they  threatened to kill me if I didn't be quiet and be still. I quieted down, and let them drag me. To say I was scared,  was an understatement.
Finally, they stopped dragging me and forced me to turn around. In front of me, sat a ship. A ship that I knew too well. A ship that I had not seen in three years. On that ship, was a man. A man that terrified me. I wanted to run as soon as I saw the ship, but the men held me in place. They forced me onto the ship, when that was the last place i wanted to be. Maybe he wouldn't recognize me. Maybe he'd take me to back Spain.

Reluctant to get on the ship, but having no choice, I decided I'd do this with a little bit of dignity. I yanked out of the men's hold and climbed the ladder myself, which seemed to shock them. Once at the top, I climbed over the railing, and stood there waiting on them to climb up as well. As soon as they were up, they escorted me to him. Men on board stopped and stared at me, like they hadn't seen a woman in years. Maybe they hadn't.

They led me to the opposite side of the ship, to a room that I knew very well. The Captain's quarters. Our- no, his room. His ship. His men. Everything was his.

He seemed busy. Too busy to notice when someone entered. He didn't even look up.

"What is it?" he asked in a gruff voice. Relief flooded through me as he barely acknowledged me.

"Sir, we found a woman. Looks like she was stranded for awhile," one of the two men answered. He still did not look up. I didn't know whether to be angry or relieved.

"You can leave her here. I'll be done in a moment," he replied, dismissing the men.

That's where I stayed. I didn't dare speak, simply because I didn't want him to recognize my voice. I stood there for awhile, waiting for him to finish.

"What happened to you? Why are you out here?" he asked finally, startling me.

"I-Well, my ship wrecked. I've been out here for three months. If-if you could be so kind as to drop me off at the nearest city, I need to make my way home," I spoke in a small voice, so the he wouldn't recognize it. He didn't seem to know me.

"Where are you from and why do you need to make your way home?" he asked.

"Well, I'm from Spain. And because I have a child that needs me," I stated. That got his attention. Please don't look up. Please, Please.
