"Tomorrow is a big day."

Prince Caspian and his father were gathered in his study preparing the last things they would need for their journey to Narnia. There, the prince would finally meet his wife to be and the wedding would take place.

"Certainly." He was extremely nervous. He was going to get married with someone he hadn't met before, in a foreign kingdom. What if he didn't like her? What if she didn't like him? He had heard she was extremely beautiful, but what if she didn't fill his expectations?

"Son," his father spoke, "I know this is not how you imagined your wedding, but this has to take place. You are nineteen and you need a wife to take the throne. I don't think I'm going to rule much longer."

"I know."

"So why are you frustrated?"

"It's nothing, nothing at all." The young prince replied. "I think it's only that I haven't met her before."

"But you have had ladies that have wanted to marry you, and you took the time to know each of them, and refused."

"They were not my type, and I doubt this queen is. Don't get me wrong, I had heard how beautiful she is and all, but if the ladies here don't capture my attention, I highly doubt she does." He added. Considering his father's expression, he didn't like his words. "I'm sorry father, you know I love you and I don't want to cause you any pain nor to disappoint you, but I haven't net the queen before, other than her beauty, I don't know everything about her."

"I know. I know how confusing this is, but give it a chance, don't start making guesses about how she is. First know her, and then you can make your choices." The king said wisely. "Now, we both need to rest. Don't think too much about it, alright? Good night, my son."

"Good night dad."

"Prince Caspian, wake up."

"Five more minutes?" The prince asked sleepily.

"We have to go, they're coming." The professor said urgently.

They?

"Who is coming?"

"Your uncle is planning on killing you. No more questions, follow me."

The professor led him to a door that held a secret passage that would help them get to the stables unnoticed.

"Are you kidding me? Uncle Miraz would never do that. Is it your age?" The prince asked midway, refusing to continue.

"Caspian, you have to listen to me. You have to trust me. When have I failed you?"

The prince was confused. Miraz would never ever kill him. He was nothing but kind to him. He was a very respectful man, always smiling. He always wanted to protect him, make sure he was alright. His favorite memories with him were in his uncle's study. He would teach him how to be a good king when the time arrived. He always said that power was the most important thing. That once that he was king, he could do whatever he pleased. Although the prince thought otherwise, he respected his opinion. Miraz liked power.

Wait...

Miraz liked power.

"If Miraz wants to kill me, he wants to kill father. Where's he?"

The professor didn't respond to his question. Instead, he continued leading the way to the stables and once the prince was in his horse, he said,

"Promise me you will run and seek refuge in Narnia."

"I promise, but where's my father?"

"He already is in the woods, now go."
